i figured it out after a few tries by trying to hang over the edge and let it pass, then it hit me and made me fall and there was story line to it so figured i was good to go.

Okay, anyone who has finished the water temple... what do I do after I beat that frog mini-boss? I figure I am supposed to do something in that room with the hanging platforms but I can't figure out anyway to make the water level rise. I saw a clawshot grapple thing on the wall and on the ceiling near the entrance but they don't really do anything when I grapple on to them...

You've got to kill all of those tadpoles that it shoots off at you and then roll out of the way when it tries to jump on you. When it misses, the tongue comes out and you attack that.

I finished that temple a while ago so I'm not entirely sure where to go after that. On a side note, the sacred grove temple is incredibly boring and takes forever.

this game is absolutely fantastic. through five temples i've found some new items that are a blast to tool around with and i love the advanced sword techniques. look good and fun to pull off. i'm 27 hours into it and there are still plenty of temples to go, plus the story is picking up. exploring is more fun this time around, too. twilight princess may bump link to the past as my favorite zelda when all's said and done.

This game is incredible. I finally got past that part of the water temple, there was a little switch that I had to grapple that I didn't notice... I wonder why they decided to call it the clawshot instead of the hookshot?

Anyway, a few really cool things I noticed, when you find the howling statues, lots of "songs" you howl are the same as the ones you play in Ocarina of Time. Also, I just got the Master Sword. Did anyone else notice that in the grove where you get it, there are all those columns/arches all grown over with foilage? It looks a lot like the Temple of Time...

Okay... in the desert i moved the bridge back to it's place and then warped back there to find a cave... in the cave was that ferry saying something about I can walk on the edge or some shit and the next room i can't do anything... but it looks like there's some weird edge that i could walk on...

tough to say if it's the best, but it's the same kind of gameplay as ocarina with new improvements and innovations and it's much much longer. so yeah it's awesome. starts off slow, but picks up after the first temple. you won't be disappointed.

damn...took me forever to beat the 3rd temple last night. had a major brain fart and forgot that the big key is in the big chest in this one, and you don't need the key to open it. ran around for an hour and a half after getting to the chest, opening chest after chest of rupies. only after going through the last chest available did i realize that i could have opened it all along

I am having a blast so far. I spent about 5-6 hours of playing yesterday and didn't even do anything to progress the main story line (fishing + hookshot searching ).

Only real complaint is boss fights. Mini boss fights in dungeons (1-3) have been terrific. I LOVE them. However, final bosses are severly lacking. The first boss was a great idea, but he died way too fast (2 bombs?). The second boss could be fought in a way that he never even got a chance to attack except the begining. The third boss was just a hookshot gimick. Heck, you can stand far from him without being attacked. I guess they seem very impersonal and uninvolved, as opposed to the grueling OOT fights that kept you on your feet.

This game fucking rocks. I just got my Wii yesterday and I'm in the first temple. I'm still not sure if it's gonna pass ocarina or lttp just yet, and i'm still not too sure about the controls, but the speaker on the wiimote definitely annoys the shit out of me. is there a way to turn it off?
