i'm on your side in this argument but im sorry ruths chris and outback strip is night and day.

HOW DOES EATING AT RESTAURANTS MAKE YOU FAT? are you implying that i would burn extra calories by the activity of cooking, going to get my drink etc?

im not fat and have been living this lifestyle for 5 years but i just dont understand where you are coming from.

and ive said over and over again. og is not for a special event. it is for your normal night out. nobody wants to eat at ruths chris 5 nights a week. or drive 30 miles that often to eat either.

restaurants prepare their food to taste the best, not to be the healthiest. generally speaking, its healthier to prepare your own meals because you know whats going in them, and can tailor then specifically to your body and diet.

its also been said over and over again that you dont need to go to an expensive restaurant or drive miles and miles away to find a decently priced restaurant with good food.

ok find me an italian place with better food and also GREAT unlimited salad and breadsticks.

macaroni grill-sligtly better food minus salad and bread
carrabas- shitty
casa carbones- 20 minutes from me on glenwood better food privately owned. typical salad no breadsticks
sweet tomatoes-shitty goldencoraly shit
ragazzis-shitty

og is solidly decent and consistent. even the one in manhattan is the most visited restaurant in manhattan last year. AND LITTLE ITALY IS IN MNAHATTAN. og cant be bad.

and lmao i dont cook my meals to be healthy. everybody i know that cooks for me cooks their foods to be tasty.

you dont do it so no one else does either! are you really this dumb?

i havent lived in raleigh for years, so i dont know the best places anymore, but if you come up to baltimore, ill show some fantastic places.

and dont give me that bullshit that because og is the most visited restaurant in manhatten that its actually good. isnt mcdonalds the most eaten at restaurant in the world? IT MUST BE GOOD TOO!!

have you been to little italy? do you know how small most of the restaurants there are? not to mention how many of them are there? of course a chain in the middle of the tourist area is going to have more visitors. durrrrrrrr.

not this mcdonalds shit again. i just st8ned dudes in entertainment aout this.

MCDONALDS IS POPULAR BECAUSE ITS CHEAP AND ON EVERY BLOCK.(people are pressed for time when picking up lunch)

IF HARDEES, wendys, bk, quiznos, dq, etc WERE THE SAME PRICE alot of PEOPLE WOULD GO THERE instead.

your argument here is that there are better places for the same price.

olive garden would be on the expensive end in little italy. most private restaurants are pretty cheap.

so why do new yorkers choose og when they have thousands of private italian restaurants everywhere?

you have got to be kidding on the cooking thing. seriously. this is america. most people don't cook their food to be healthy.

[Edited on September 1, 2006 at 3:43 PM. Reason : tasty fatty yummy. me skinny too]

so all these tourists go all the way to nyc to eat at the same place they live 5 mins ago from. im sure there are alot of tourists but to use them as the sole reason is hard to beleive.

DAMN THEN IT REALLY MUST BE GOOD IF PEOPLE STILL WANT IT WHILE THEY ARE IN NY

[Edited on September 1, 2006 at 3:57 PM. Reason : what you do in nyc? went to olive garden.]

you would be surprised....you're giving people too much credit.

when a restaurant is in the most visited part of the most visited city in the US, then yes, i think its safe to say that its mostly tourists that eat there.

go talk to people that actually live in manhattan and ask them how often they go to times square to eat.

didn't read the thread

Olive Garden isn't bad or anything, but it's way overrated.

Ruth's Chris is sweet.
