they're dominating the running game, you have arguably the best RB in the league and its the middle of the 2nd. the chargers are playing clock management they don't need rivers to throw the ball

Yeah, true they are doing the Steelers plan, but inside the 20, you have to let the QB go for one...just make sure it is not in the middle of the field, either high fade to Gates or out route to KM...

I would not want to show that I got a tight rope on my starting QB...IMO newayz

Schottenheimer's not a risk-taking kind of guy.

He's going to stick with the known quantity--the best RB in the league--rather than put the game on the shoulders of an untested QB, for as long as it works.

Point taken...but at same time to give my new QB experience and to get him acclaimated to scoring TD's...and also-I would hate to lose LT in first game with 35-40 rushes...

I see your point, and respect it, but I just can't see limiting him in the red zone to no passes and all runs...
