this show is far better than i expected. im sold.

I also looked at the red pins (target cities) as him grabbing a bunch, we don't really know exactly how many cities, but if denver and atlanta got hit, it's a pretty fair assumption that all major cities got hit.

that tiny bit of tv reception they got was crazy too.

so i'm going to theorize that the black guy is obviously part of some group that nuked all the major cities in an attempt to gain control over the rest of america. which would work perfectly, nuke all the major cities/government centers and make sure you and your families are around to help mold and rebuild whats left into the country you envision.

The characters looked cyrillic, but at the risk of stereotyping, the guy doesn't look Russian. It still reminded me of that old John Titor guy from years ago; didn't he "predict" that a world war would break out with a faction within America collaborating with Russia against the US government and nuking major cities?

I would hope that after this much time had passed, someone in Homeland Security would have had five minutes to record something more helpful and informative than "Please stand by." Obviously the internet has survived and the government has survived well enough to coordinate a nuclear strike against someone.

^ I agree. Although that was probably some generic pre-taped recording. I don't really expect anything more. You're not going to get Homeland Security to speculate over a phone just because they don't create panic or let me people know they don't know yet. "It might've been the Chinese or the Russians, we got an office pool going..."

I wonder if they're just giving them a sip of tea and then snatching the tea away, whoever is responsible. Remember when 9/11 happened, how most people watched TV non-stop incase there was some new picture or news about the attacks that they hadn't seen before or to make sure they knew the new information?

1. The bar showing the Chinese broadcast.
2. The bar showing the same 3 clips over and over.
3. The phone call from Homeland Security, followed by the Emergency Alert screen everywhere.
4. The temporary image of the podium from the White House press conference room, then gone.

The nukes are a bit...late. Like what, 6 days after the attacks now?

I know they are hundreds of missile silo's around the country . . . are any of em still in service?

and these were built to survive an attack and get the order to fire after an attack so it is funny it would be so long after an attack they they are launched.


I was kind of thinking that this group bombed the US and then launched the missiles as if the US was retaliating for an attack.

After the last episode and the interaction between Hawkins and Skeet's character, does anyone think that Skeet is in on it? He saw Hawkins in the backyard on the computer and hasn't said anything about it to any of the others. He just happened to come back home to Jericho after 5(?) years the day this happened. (Where he would be able to take care of his family) He knows how to "fix" all the problems. I want him to be the "good" guy, but things looked a bit sketchy after this episode.

^Here is my feelings on that.

1) Skeet was heading back to Denver when the bomb went off. Why wouldn't he have just chilled in Jericho if he knew the bomb went off?

2) How'd the black guy get the Do Not Fly list, but then is reading websites in some foreign fucking language if he's CIA or something like that. It doesn't make any sense unless he hacked into the DNF list or something to pull up Skeets record. But why the hell is he on the DNF list I wonder?

3) In the context of the show, they had to be ICBMs by their trajectory, and if so, they would be nuclear tipped. You don't use them for surgical strikes like a cruise missile, they are designed to reach out and touch someone across the globe with nuclear death in minutes. If the original attack had been a conventional nuclear war scenario, then NORAD would have known instantly about the launches and would have immediately launched a full nuclear deployment, levelling whoever the hell launched those missiles before they ever got inbound on the USA. So why wait for a fucking week to launch? Makes no damn sense.

^^^If the nukes were set off from inside the cities NORAD would have been in the dark. It could have taken a couple of days to figure out who targeted us, etc. or with a major strike, critical systems could have been knocked offline and it took 6 days to recover. Also, it could have been some sort of fail safe, like in case of an attack the missiles were sent to targets automatically and there was just nobody to stop them.

In Conclusion, there were no attacks and Jericho is just one big psychological experiment and/or hazmat drill.
