You'll be back here for a "ONE MONTH -- WE'RE STILL TOGETHER FUCKHEADS HA HA" thread, and one for six months.
All I ask is that you come back in a year when it's over and let us in on the drama explosion. The best laughs are worth waiting for9/25/2006 9:21:41 AM |

If you haven't had a dress jump out at you yet and have it be "the one", go back and try on some more. Fiancee and mother-in-law tried three dresses in David's Bridal the other day ... after a bit of comparison, there was one that definitely stood out. 9/25/2006 10:09:13 AM |

i think strapless dresses only look good on women who are tall, thin, and have big boobs
like the ones in the pictures

I just got married about 2 months ago...and my wife had some serious problems with David's Bridal throughout the engagement/wedding planning process. From what I've heard from other folks...a lot of people have had really bad experiences w/ Davids Bridal too.
I was the groom so I can't speak from experience. I just know that my wife had a miserable experience with them. 9/25/2006 3:36:58 PM |

Just so y'all know...I took note of all the ladies who picked number one...and they're now my TWW friends for life, whether they like it or not.
Number two is hideous. The majority of you fuckers picked number two, and you should be ashamed. Seriously, take a second look and really think about it...
This isn't "Oh, we just have different tastes..." This is about a hideous fucking dress... 9/25/2006 9:44:33 PM |

Even though you are "living the married life" right now, it doesn't mean things won't change. When you are 21, with the ONLY person you've genuinely ever been with your feelings are bound to change. Wish you luck...but BIG mistake. 9/26/2006 9:11:16 AM |

#2 is the prettiest dress, and also likely the cheapest to alter - the other two will have to have lots of apliques removed and restitched OR totally taken apart. I know because my dress had a lot of lace at the hem and had to be taken apart at the waist for the skirt to be shortened.
HOWEVER, if you're really pale you don't want to wear a dark ivory because it'll make you look washed out. Keep in mind if you're not wearing white you'll have to have the icing on your cake dyed as well or else your dress is going to look dirty next to it (also voice of experience ) and you might have to pay extra for his tux/shirt/whatever to match too
In short: #2 is pretty, but get it in all white if you can 9/26/2006 2:51:45 PM |

definitely the second one (especially since you say you're blonde) the first one is nice, but without a contrasting sash I don't think it would look so great (plus, since you're 5'2" i'm not sure that it would keep the same effect... just a thought... when you start having to alter those dresses the whole point of the dress often gets ruined) and #3... eh, that's just not a very appealing wedding dress imho.
have you looked anywhere other than davids bridal? often davids bridal will advertise their "bargain" dresses so heavily that it seems like you're getting a great deal... but the little private boutiques that you can find locally are so much better (and often their alterations are better-- from what i've experienced personally in buying dresses (not wedding dresses mind you, but in the same price range)...) ** note: i, too, am ~ 5'2" dirty blonde & fair skinned 9/26/2006 3:30:14 PM |

I like #1 with the red sash. It's traditional with that little flare of untraditional. Plus, blondes look good in red. But, you said you would have a white sash, so nvm.

for sash color, think about matching (or coordinating) with your flower colors. 9/29/2006 2:38:44 PM |

I can't imagine anyone getting married with the dress with the sash unless... the hair looked totally different than that picture and the sash was white. So, my vote: #2. 9/29/2006 5:13:07 PM |

I'd say number 2.... I think itd help slim your waistline and give you more bust.
And please please don't wear so much eye makeup at your wedding. You look so friggin trashy with the blonde hair and uber-eyeshadow and mascara 9/29/2006 8:32:00 PM |

Okay, I don't know shit about wedding dresses. But I do know this: My fiancée--who looks at all the bridal magazines and Web sites--tells me that she is sick and tired of everybody wearing strapless anymore. She says it's a cookie-cutter approach.

On first glance, I liked number 2...but I have seen number 1 without the sash on the maniquinne at David's and it is gorgeous in person. Go try them on, take pics, and post those. It really depends on how YOU wear the dress, not how the dress itself looks. 9/30/2006 11:12:13 AM |

I don't know about David's bridal, but I do know that a boutique my friend found her wedding dress in didnt let her take pictures of the dresses. I think it was more along the lines of they didnt want someone coming in, taking a picture and recreating the dress at home.
unless you already know that you can, you may want to call first. 9/30/2006 11:29:48 AM |
