WOFFORDS SHOOTING PERCENTAGE HAD TO BE INCREDIBLE

OMG, talk about some shot makers...they made a ton of 3's and just wickedly defended shots.

fells had the last word though, sick block on that last 3 they shot.

they shot near 70% from the field and 60% from 3 land...thats outrageous...

the second half was much better due to their white dudes shooting more

our 2nd half D was alottttt better than the first, they kept tearin us up with that high pick and roll.

wow, still a hell of a game...good coaching and terrible officiating but what else is new

They were jacking up the threes with hands in their faces, and they were still falling. though, about half of them were open shots.

if they were 48 percent for the game, its because they were shit for about 8 minutes in the second half. Other than that, they shot lights out. They had 11 3 pointers in the first half and got away with some fouls on D. Second half we locked down a little better but they still hit a bunch from 3. We had a lot of shots go in and come out. Fells had one, Costner had 2 or 3 that went halfway down and came out, and there were a few others from Engin too. I was actually pretty impressed with our offense, but there were times we looked a little lost, however it looked really good.

And say what you want about Brandon Costner, but the man is actually playing with a lot more fire than I thought he had. He plays incredibly hard on D and gives everything up to get the rebounds. He will be deadly when his shot starts falling, and I swear its going to.

Overall, our starting 5 can hang with anyone, and Horner off the bench is ok but we would be pretty nasty if we had two more players like...oh I dont know ANDREW BRACKMAN or Ced Simmons.

Lowe about shit a brick when Gavin had that guy locked down close to mid court and they didnt call 5 seconds. He had a referee next to him and let him have it for about a minute but then there was a timeout. I didnt pay much attention other than that, but I did notice he got pissed when we did some stupid shit on defense a couple of times.

Lowe was pissed quite a few times. I'm sure he jumped all over them during half time because they kept giving Wofford open shots outside the arc. And Grant tried to get pretty a little too much tonight and I'm sure he got an ear full while he was on the bench.

On a side note- what kinda shit was that at halftime. It looked like a bunch of middle-schoolers.

That stadium actually got loud as fuck in the last 8 minutes or so. People need to start fucking yelling more. I was the only person in section 102 making any god damn noise in the first half.


If you're sitting on the front row....kick the fucking boards at least, and try to yell.

Agreed. Sidney would actually get angry when we started slipping, call a timeout and get fired up. They're young and the bench is shallow but they've got heart and never gave up on the game. I agree, they needed to seriously step up on defence first half, WAY to many open/barely contested 3s, but they came out playing much better d in the second half. Once Costner starts shooting like he used to and Ferguson and Degland become eligible next semester, things should get interesting. And this offence is definitely better than Sendeks, no more forced threes at the end of the shot clock, or frustratingly retarded decisions. (last year double overtime to BC, down by only two points, so what do we do the entire second ot? Brick threes for the loss......but i digress) Already the games are much more exciting, it got pretty damn loud toward the end for a season opener against Wofford........

Considering the attendance figure, I was very impressed with the noise over the last three minutes of the game.

Considering the habit of recent NC State teams to fold under pressure, I was very impressed that we fought back every time they kept raining threes on us and got the job done.

It's good to see some highlights but WRAL really missed a few absolutely sick one hand dunks by Courtney Fells.....if anybody has any video from the game (maybe anybody with PackPass?) some 'showtime' highlights from this fast break offence would be great......
