This record is really good. It slows down toward the end but 'ocean of noise' is one of the better songs I've heard from them. 'black wave bad vibrations' is also one of the better ones on the record.

I have only one problem so far - I think starting this record out with 'back mirror' is just not very fluid. It's kind of like a 100 lb raven sitting at the beginning of a record kind of awkwardly.

i feel the EXACT same way, but at the same time, its not that big of a deal.

i dont think it would matter as much if Neighborhood #1 wasnt one of the all time greatest opening tracks

yeah this album is really good. not that we should be surprised. i find myself loving "intervention" and "ocean of noise" more and more with each listen. if they come here again, i hope they don't play meymandi or something. shit sucks for concerts. their show at the cradle was A+++++

first listen going on right now...

im hoping it gets better than the opening track, but im sure it will

2nd track is decent...this leak quality is kind of muddy though

track 3 (title track) unmoving

track 4 is the best on the record by far at this point

track 5 is pretty crummy sound quality but it shows potential, this albums is picking up a bit in the last 2 tracks

track 6 is pretty good too for a slower track

track 7 is a strong point, maybe my favorite so far...seems like the most likely track to have come from the "funeral" era

i like track 8, "building downtown"...i seem to relate to a lot of the lyrics and I like a dig a good pop number

yeah, im with your analysis so for the beginning of the record. Althouhgh I like black mirror a good deal, i just wish they woulda swapped it for 'keep the car running' to open the record.

I'm not a big fan of "neon bible" or "building downtown". But every other song is great.

i was severely underwhelmed by this album. mostly, it was that i didn't get the "special tingles" i got from listening to Funeral the first time. like, the end of "crown of love" KILLS me. "ocean of noise" comes the closest to that magical feeling for me.

Ive only bought 3 deluxe editions before (Kid A, Am, HTTT) and i think im pretty much done with it. Its always fun to get the extra artwork but unless it has different music on it then im not too intrested. Although the Kid A cover art is my favorite album cover ever and was a must!
