here is some racism for you so you can see the distinct line between the two.
^"All black people are uneducated"
^actually "English" is my first language...as in British English. Along with Arabic.

^What's your question?
You wrote "still have?" like it was a question. What were you axing?
And how about thisV for racism?

thats not racist. thats truth. the majority of the race still lives in the past. People are all day long talking about equal rights and what not. yet they still live in the past 1/7/2007 1:01:08 PM |

^Somehow "the whole damn race" has been changed to "the majority of the race." Even then, you still can't support that with fact.
And what's "in the past"?
RE/MAX has television ads out right now where they brag about how they're willing to show anybody any house they want to view. That's right. They brag about being willing to show black people homes in "white neighborhoods" and white people homes in "black neighborhoods." They brag about it because some of their competitors still don't do that, even though it's against the law not to. But we wouldn't know who's disobeying the law because the government hasn't had an investigation in a number of years. The Fair Housing Act is a joke.
Just a few months ago, the folks at WRAL (I believe) busted a bank for discriminatory lending practices. They confronted an employee about it, and the employee acted like giving crappier loans to similarly qualified minorities was standard practice, which of course was met with, "Uhhh...no, you can't do that. That's against the law." Who knew?

Isn't this thread about gay people in the military?
It shifted from that subject to defining mumbo-jumbo words and now its shifted to black people. 1/7/2007 1:18:52 PM |

^thats how it is...black people have to always focus the attention on themselves.

^Actually the topic switched when you randomly asked this question:
Quote : | "Golovko: I just don't get how black people say ax instead of ask." |
I answered it. But you continued with the blabbering. And now here we are.
By the way, if anybody's interested, here's a quick explanation of the origins of "ax."

Apparently, "ax" can still be heard in England too.

The US military is a culture that as such is not prepared to accept openly gay service personnel without causing a whole lot of problems.
Servicemembers as a whole have less individual rights than the general public and thus the same should apply to gay members serving.
I believe that the don't ask don't tell is the best way to handle the situation of gays in the military. I personally would see no problem with it, but as I said the military is not mature enough of an evironment. 1/11/2007 6:18:22 PM |

to quote grumpy "introducing mixed-race units back in the day upset the unit, and nobody is saying that was a bad idea"
in the end, once the initial upset is over, it helps allow everyone to serve
plenty of countries have made it work, and the uk actively seeks to recruit minorities including gays with positive results in the long run
Its like saying never start moving, because over coming inertia will be hard. The thing is, it will never change, you just have to do it at some point. And in the end it will be for the best. 1/11/2007 7:10:28 PM |

I wonder what people who are against gays in the military would think of them draft dodging if it were to come to that. 1/12/2007 8:35:25 PM |

WRT the post on the first page about the shower scenario, that's really not a very likely situation. In my experience, the main time you were showering together in an open atmosphere like that was in basic training. And you really weren't taking your time, then, checking out the sights. That'd be a great way to get reamed, and not in a sexual way, might I add. 1/13/2007 2:04:09 AM |
