happy that sundance, the chinese guy who sung that Shy song, the chick with the pink / red streak in her hair and mandissa 2007 (the very last one to audition that it showed her hugging her 3 year old) made it through...but most of the 24 are people who i don't reconize.

and i'm still pissed off they denied that Akron guy hollywood b/c of being busted with pot years ago. wtf, that's lame. supposedly he told them in advance too.

Was it just me or did pretty much all the guys suck tonight?? i mean there were a few alright ones, but none that really stood out. i thought the guy that went last was the best. but still that's freakin dissapointing. hopefully the girls will be a lot better.

Most of the guys tried to pull off that "soft, whispery" type voice instead of belting out the big notes. The last guy, Phil, really pulled out the big notes at the end of his song.

I thought the worst ones were Nick Pedro, Sanjaya, Paul, and Sundance.

Sundance has just gone downhill since auditions. I don't think he is singing well at all.

IF a guy is going to win it (which I don't think a guy will), it will be the guy that they say reminded them of Justin Timberlake; although I thought he looked more like K-Fed... possibly Blake the beatboxer.

I think the door is WIDE open for the girls to run away with it. They seem much more talented.

^that fight started because of simon/seacrest getting after it, seacrest was trying to yell up to cut simon off/make fun of what he said about chris being a "student act" and simon told him to "let me do the judging sweetheart" and they started to get after each other. later in the show simon told him to "stick to his radio show"....seacrest kept repeating that simon was "off his game" tonight and giving him dirty looks, and at the end of the show he thanked the two other judges and left simon out while wrapping up. I think chris was just trying to make a joke, that sounded like it had more animosity because of the tension created by seacrest/simon.....just bad timiming

Simon compared Chris's performance to a 'student act', which I took to mean a high school talent show performance.

Chris said that the song he sang was popular right now, and he was sorry if it wasn't Il Divo or teletubbies, both created by Cowell.

Simon said that Chris was more suited for the latter, so he basically called him a teletubby. HAHAHA
