i love all the yankee haters

after 6 games it has now been seen that the yankees are the most flawed team in the universe and that unless whitey ford comes back to pitch they have no chance.

and as for the mets, how can you consider them senior circuit? the giants, dodgers, cardinals, and bucs are actual national leguers. the mets? they're an expansion team.

Yeah, well I don't have cable, and even if I did, I probably couldn't afford EI.

MLB.tv is something my parents are nice enough to get for me, so I don't have to pay for it.

And god damn if moose isn't hurt again, at least its still early in the season.

^^ the 22nd? damnit! Ah well. Atleast there's the Yahoo Game Channel where I can watch myself lose in Fantasy. zing!

oh yea...Fuck Boston.

Another comeback, extra-innings game last night. But we were on the winning side this time!

Giambi with the game-winning home run in the 13th inning. But Bruney sure did make it interesting in the bottom of the inning -- walked the lead-off man, and then the next two guys each flied out DEEP to the outfield.

Glad I got to see it on MLB.tv. Good stuff, indeed.

How is the quality on mlb tv? I've got the radio package so i listen to all the games and stuff while i do homework ect. but I don't wanna pay for the mlb tv if the quality is ass.

I mean, it's not HDTV. But for $90, I get to see almost all the Yankee games at TV quality. The picture is smallish. I don't have the premium package, so I can't speak for the larger feed. The 400k feed is perfect for me. I just don't watch it at full screen.

Having lived in North Carolina for 14 years, I'll take my Yankee games at any size at this point.

I would absolutely recommend MLB.tv -- even if you DON'T get the premium package.

Exactly, kid is batting like .053 and came up with the biggest hit of the young season. Rivera got the first two out in the ninth as well

When did Jeter become an epileptic in the field? Good god, it's almost impossible to have 6 errors this early in the year... If he wins a gold glove THIS year too then those awards officially have become a joke even moreso than his last 3.

^ his last 3 have not been a joke. If you watched him daily, you would know that.

Yea he has struggled this year. It happens. Blame it on a-rod.

Kinda scary for Yankee fans: The A's cant hit the ball at all this year and they took 2 of 3. Better hope the rocket follows pettite (I think he will). If thats the case then yall are a lock to win the WS.

^^ maybe last year he deserved it but in '05 he had more than DOUBLE the amount of errors as O-Cab (15 to 7) had and Cabrera definitely has better range.

I think Jeter is a great player and I do respect him but he isn't a gold glove caliber shortstop IMO. To have 6 errors this early in the year with limited range is just embarassing.

Chase Wright makes his debut tonight against Cleveland.

In 14 innings at AA, he allowed 4 hits, 0 runs, 1 bb, and had 19 strikeouts.

They decided to go with him instead of Phil Hughes, rated as the # 1 prospect in all of baseball, because they want to give him a few more starts at AAA to get settled.

You'll at least find out what the kid has pretty quickly. There aren't many teams with more fire power than the Cleveland team he's about to see. This could well be an early preview of what we'll be watching in October.

^ i hope he pitches well, but I seriously doubt it. He is a finesse pitcher, and has a good changeup....but Yankee stadium against a lineup like this, after never pitching above AA...its gonna be tough for him.

I would rather they pitched Hughes, even if he isnt ready...he's got a 95 MPH fastball and a good hook...at least he would give us a good chance with his pure stuff.

The problem with Hughes right now is that he is really struggling pitching in the cold. Right now he is saying the cold is taking away velocity on his fastball and making his curveball more slurvy then biting so I think its better that the Yankees leave him in AAA until it warms up. Chase Wright also has the benefit to being left handed hopefully leading to better match ups against Hafner and Sizemore. And while he is a "finesse" pitcher he still throws a 90mph fastball and has good strikeout rates in the minors.

a-rod has 8 HR and 21 RBI in 12 games. Anyone think he's on his way to a new RBI or HR record for April (40 RBI and 14 HR are the current records)

^ Maybe, but I'll be surprised if he pulls it off. He's on pace for the HRs, but slightly off pace for the RBIs. The Yankees need him to while the starting rotation is on the DL.

^ He has 12 more games to hit 6 HR and have 19 RBI to tie. I think the HR are a possibility, but I think he ends up with 30 rbi or so.

If we can take the series from Cleveland before the BoSox weekend, that would be ideal. Wang comes back the day after the series is over and I believe will start against the D-rays on Tuesday. I think.
