it kindof got lost amongst all the excitement about the basketball game yesterday, but we beat nc a&t 5-3. not a great outing, but bombs by pond and mangum got it done.

good news though, they put in jimmy gillheeney (also freshman) later in the game, who i thought was supposed to be our midweek started, and he looked real good.

Brown wasn't suspect. He gave up one run.

The team played really well, it's just that A&T played out of their minds. It was a good outing for the Pack. It was an awesome outing for A&T. That's all.

The A&T starter was very solid, and kept our guys off balance. Except for two mistake pitches (luckily for us, both home runs), he was great, which kept our bats at bay most of the afternoon.

The defense was ridiculous, except for one play in the outfield where Synan kind of kicked the ball, which stretched a single to a double. But the way they were running yesterday, it could have been a double anyway.

dont slack on A&T because they are a traditional black school

they are usually a decent program who just happened to have a tough season last year. That Primus kid was getting looks by pro scouts out of HS, so it really doesnt surprise me to see him do well at A&T

big weekend for pack baseball. WVU tomorrow at 2, Coastal Sat. at 12:30, and TCU at 4 on sunday. taking off work early tomorrow to head out to the ballpark. should be a great weekend of baseball with the temp in the sixties and only a chance of rain on sunday. cant wait to see brackman pitch on saturday.

getting ready to head out to the game today. should be a tough matchup today as both teams come in undefeated. c. carolina came on strong late last year after a disappointing start. momentum seems to have carried over to this year with some big wins including a 3-2 win over then #7 ranked virginia earlier this month. hopefully b-rack can silence the chant's bats early on and we can build a lead. little on the chilly side down here this morning (about 50 degrees) but hopefully it will warm up a bit in the next couple of hours before gametime.

nice win in baseball today. probably should have won by even more. left allot of guys on in scoring position. brackman looked great as mentioned above. also only gave up 6 hits. threw about 100 pitches. not bad for feburary.
