how have we seen flashes for he future if we haven't seen anyone we haven't already seen

atsur's leaving and we've already seen how good we are without atsur...

claiming we have seen some flashes of what's to come is a ridiculous claim

the only thing you really can say about this season is that Sidney is a very inspiring coach, which is good

but beyond that we haven't really seen what else this team (or next years team for that matter) can do

Realistically we're probably a NIT/bubble team next year. We still won't have a great 1 and we still have soft defense on the perimeter (with Grant, Fells, and Costner as a 3). Hickson/Smith can be good but I doubt they are 'take over the game good' like a Durant or Oden..

I imagine our starting 5 will be

Fells
Grant
Costner
McCauley

to start.. then Fells will probably end up the 6th man at some point if Hickson moves into the starting lineup..

our talent is what made atsur look alot better. we have 4 guys that are capble of taking over the game. any pg to run the offense will work just fine. also, everybody should improve at least a little between now and october.

Just guessing, but I don't think ole JJ Hickson (McDonald's All American) plans on coming to a team barely qualifying for the NIT and losig their most valuable player to ride the bench and not start, just a guess. Fells, my favorite player, might find himself on the bench if he doesn't switch occupations from a matador to a basektball player. Sidney obviously had to figure out the learning curve this year, but I got this little idea practice next season might be a little more intense next season when he has 9 legitimate ACC caliber players in his rotation and much mroe leverage. And the rebuttal of, "well we played 7 guys, they were tired" routine isn't cutting it when I see some guys not hustling in the first 12 minutes of the game

I agree. I am not hating, but we have had 3 games where I have just been WTF at the effort by our guys. The Miami, FSU, and today's game were all uninspiring.

what the hell guys, we have the 19th best recruiting class in the nation comming in (and that is without Javi [it's an i guys, short for Javier]). That class totals 4 guys, and we have two transfers, so we are losing a point guard (a good experienced one but only one) and gaining 3 point guards, a good-local SF in Thomas, a better PF in Smith, and McD AA C in Hickson. I'm excited and believe that we are a contender.

1. it could have meant a lot of things, ACC Title, National Title, getting into the Tournamnet etc.
