yall are some pussy ass people if you are afraid to go to southpoint at night. nothing around that area is scary, i grew up in that area. granted, there are some areas of durham that i wont go into but its not the scary place that you all make it out to be. the area around duke is pretty good, it really varies by block whether its nice or not. a lot of that area has seen a revitalization. i might not go jogging at night if i was a girl, but its not really a dangerous area. the bad areas of durham are further east, stay the fuck away from east durham. northgate isnt dangerous, but its ghetto as fuck so unless you like urban fashion its a waste of time anyways.

if you are going to be living near duke campus i would suggest checking out 9th street and the surrounding area. brightleaf also has a couple places. you have to eat at moe's diner on 9th street, thats always been my favorite place.
