I don't think he did.

But I will watch the beginning a couple of times tomorrow and report my findings sir.

I noticed it looked like the kid had braces at first, but it was actually just supposed to be crap built up on his teeth.

*SPOILERS**

can someone explain the scene after the credits? and i was thinking there would probably be a 4th movie with the way this one ended, but if they showed 10 years later after the credits then i guess it's game over.

the movie was overall good, partially because you grow attached to all the characters. I could have done without the multiple Jack Sparrows, the lame "wedding" at the end, and a few other various events that kind of ruined some of the movie. And I hope they make a 4th because that was a pretty lame end to this one with Will being the "new davy jones" and elizabeth not even being with anyone after about every guy in the movie tries to get with her (i mean she's with will, but not with him)

all they showed after the credits was elizabeth and her son looking at the sunset and the green flash 10 years later. you assume it was 10 years later and they were able to see will (b/c of the 10 year rule)....that's it...

i thought the movie was better than the 2nd.
however, i didn't like the calypso thing and the giant woman that turned into crabs part. weak...
also, the keith richards thing was stupid. people went berzerk when they showed him...big deal

there's no assuming it was 10 years later, it actually said in a caption "10 years later"

Of all the recent crappy sequels I have seen recently (Spider-Man, Shrek, 28 Weeks, Pirates), this was by far the least crappy. Considering I didn't really like the first movie and never bothered to see the entire second movie, that means a bit.

Wedding scene was cheesy. Jack flying from boat to boat was done a few too many times. They went a bit overboard with all the betraying. I think I liked the movie more than the others because Jack Sparrow didn't get as much movie time as in the other installments and his overacting was appropriate at times in this movie.

except it says "ten years later" you see the green flash, you see will, you see a pan out shot of the flying dutchman coming into port with elizabeth and her son staning on the cliff watching it. no assuming anywhere in there

Definitely expect a pirates 4. Depp has already said he's interested, but a few of the others have opted out. It's probably be 2009 or so before the next one is released though.

Can't believe I forgot to stay after the credits

SPOILERS

As one of the few people who enjoyed Pirates 2 I was REALLY disappointed. That Calypso shit just kind of went nowhere. At the end she just decided to help no one I guess. Didn't Chow Yun-Fat call Elizabeth Calypso? What was with that? It was damn near impossible to keep up with all the betrayals. Will is with Beckett, Will is with the pirates, no he's still with Beckett, Jack has been with Beckett all along, ugh. Killing off Elizabeth's dad and the Kraken basically amounted to ditching story elements that were no longer useful. As far as disappointing third installments, this sits way below Matrix Revolutions and X-Men 3.

yah they didnt make it very clear why Elizabeth couldnt just join Will's crew on the flying dutchman. I mean she could just almost kill herself and then she could join the crew or whatever. I thought will could only go to shore once every 10 years, not anything about could only love once every 10 years. I mean even without his heart he still loved her and all... I dunno the whole thing with that was lame i thought. There was enough cliche movie parts, why not let them have the cliche ending where they all live happily ever after?

I was kinda expecting for calypso to come ashore and make an exception for the two of them. but in the end it turned out they should have just left her bound. wouldn't have made any difference

OK let me explain this for y'all...
The calypso storyline was kind of weird, but here is what happened...
Chow Yun Fat thought Elizabeth was Calypso, obviously he was mistaken... It was revealed that Naomi was calypso.
She DID help someone out. She caused the storm that ended only when Davey Jones was killed, that was her purpose.

The captain of the Flying Dutchman, according to legend and lore, is destined to lead a life without love (hence the cut out heart). The captain of the Flying Dutchman is responsible for carrying souls over to "other world". Davey Jones betrayed this responsibility and his crew was cursed. That is why they looked like sea monsters. Only once every 10 years is he able to come ashore and/or see his love.
Will was dying. Jack saw the opportunity for him to use Will's hand to stab the heart, and thus save Will. Obviously there were consequences, as Will is now the captain of the FD. Will accepted this duty and helped the black pearl down the other ship, then sailed on to fulfill his otherworldly responsibilities.

I thought the movie was great. I liked it better than the first two. my ONLY issue was Orlando Bloom's acting, he sounds like he's struggling when he tries to act like a badass

I don't see how anyone could have an issue with a 50 foot Calypso and yet fully accept the idea of Davey Jones with tentacles coming out of his face The movie was a fantasy, once you realize that some crazy shit is going to happen (i.e. stones turning into crabs), then everything is great!

though i agree that they could have cut out about 20 minutes worth of film and made a better, shorter, and thus cheaper film, I think you can't really complain about the length.

I mean, that's pretty much expected. All the other Pirate films were that long. Just like with a Lord of the Rings film, a Harry Potter film...etc, you gotta expect atleast 2.5 hours.

aha i'll complain about the length...the second one was too long too

you could have trimmed about an hour out of it...no need to have a battle scene that goes on forever and ever

^^I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the battle scenes dragged. Also, Will constantly trading sides was kinda stupid too.

I liked the Calypso/Tia Dalma and Davey Jones story, but I'm a sucker for doomed love

I'd rather see a long battle scene than a long scene filled with endless banter and talking...

i thought the battle scenes were great.

I was expecting Naomi to turn into a beautiful goddess or something...instead of a 50 foot woman

what happens after the credits:

It flashes forward to "ten years later." Elizabeth and a little boy (presumably about 10 years old) wait by the shore as the sun sets, there is a green flash, and Will and the Flying Dutchman are coming towards the shore

these movies to me seem to have no coherent plot line at all. It's like they just threw a bunch of random shit together and decided it was a movie -- kind of like "let's have ghost pirates, some talking birds, and a dude that's really a fucking octopus to a musical song and dance in this scene."

Take out Johnny Depp, and these movies are god-awful.

Disney is definitely doing better the idea of marriage in their movies IMO. Screw turning a beast back into a man or riding on a fucking carpet. I want to get married in the middle of a swordfight by a pirate captain after I've been made Pirate King. Now if only it wasn't to Orlando Bloom...

I just wanted a god damn happy ending for once. Also, all I've read about was 'beach' 'shore' and 'cliff' as to where Elizabeth was. Was she in England? Pirates Cove? Some other random place?

What I hated most was the speech Elizabeth gave trying to rally the pirates. THEY ARE FUCKING PIRATES, you can NOT talk about freedom and justice and all that hoopla.

Another thing, WHY DID both ships manage to fire 243 shots at the British ship when they only had like 40 guns total on the sides facing the ship (and they didn't have time to fire multiple shots)(and don't give me that BS about it being fantasy, the realistic parts of the movie should not be crazy unbelievable).

Why did the BRITISH ARMADA run away? Thats a load of BS.

And I loved the first two, but I defiantly noticed how long it was getting in this one about half way through that 45 minute fight scene at the end.

Orlando Bloom when directors don't want him to act. Emotionless, monotone, boring. Same in Kingdom of Heaven. pathetic

Why was the kraken dead?

I thought it was a let down like Spiderman 3, X3, Shrek 3.

I think the calypso shit could surface again in a possible future pirates movie. I thought I saw the same ship they talked about earlier in the movie on the map at the end.
