did anyone else think the doctor (Albert Finney), looked just like Brian Cox's character from the last movie?

I wasn't too happy with the plotline of this one. The action scenes were great, but the plot kinda (did) suck.

He starts off trying to get revenge for the girl? What was the whole second movie about? I thought it was him saying "don't fuck with me, or I'll fuck you up. leave me the fuck alone." Why, if he was so passionate about the girl dying, did it take a whole movie of that point being ignored for him to decide he wanted revenge?

Why, also, did they just drop the whole "revenge for the girl" bit halfway through this one and go back to him trying to find out who he was?

I thought the "trying to find out where he came from" was his main goal from the beginning because he kept saying stuff like "he was there in the beginning" and those flashbacks were throughout the whole movie

^^this movie wasnt about him getting revenge for the girl at all. it does start off just after he killed the guy that killed his girl, and he does go to see her brother, but then he tells him he already got revenge and says hes going to find out where all the shit started

it would have been better without some of the cheesy music

and if Nicky shot Desh with his own gun after he knocked down Bourne

I hope you aren't including Moby - Extreme Ways in that, because that is a kickass theme

because the whole series is focused around him trying to figure out who he was...

1 was -- who the fuck am i? why do i have this thing in my hip that tells me i have a swiss bank account with tons of fake passports, tons of money and a gun? why am i described in the newspaper as an assassin? oh..i am an assassin? fuck that! why the fuck did i want to do that? leave me and my new grlfriend alone or i'll fuck you up big time!

2 was -- you killed my gf! why the fuck did you kill my gf? i told you to leave us the fuck alone and now you're going to pay! what--you didn't kill my gf but you think i killed someone? wtf i was half way on the other side of the world! wtf is this shit that i was involved with? who killed my gf and who's framing me? and why? oh i killed this russian dude...and his wife? damn, i gotta find these people framing me, set things straight and apologize to the daughter of the people i killed even though i have no idea why i killed them.

3 was -- damn they still think i'm a threat even though i have no fucking idea what i was. the only way i'm going to figure this out is if i face this shit head on and find all the answers myself.

Correct. Because one of them completely sucked ass, and the other one was Bourne Ultimatum.

It was actually that he didn't deserve the star they would put on the wall for him.

finally saw it. killer - i wish I had seen it earlier so tonight could have been my 2nd viewing! best of the three

couple small things, that have mostly been hit on already.....
1) Bourne really doesn't seem to have much trouble getting in and out of CIA and government buildings. It looked like my office building has more security than where the Blackbriar director sat
2) it's funny how whenever he's with a girl who needs to go incognito, they just dye their multi-colored hair black, cut it, and they're off. Bourne, on the other hand, doesn't even bother to put on a hat.
3) i also don't know why they picked two actors who look amazingly similar to play the ultimate villains. It was very hard to tell, especially in some of the flashbacks, if he was talking to Hirsch (Finney) or Abbot (Cox)

--
oh yeah, maybe i'm reading a bit too much into it, but I felt there was a jab at Bush and Co. when Landy was asking Vosen something like "when will this all be over" and his ultimate response was simply "when we win"

I don't think it was a jab at Bush. She was simply asking when all this chaos(chasing Bourne, etc) would be over, and by "When we win" he was meaning when Bourne is dead. I thought that was pretty obvious.

^^ i don't think it's worth arguing about because it's just speculation, but i felt there was a little bit more behind the question. Landy was talking more about when everything ould be over - project Blackbrier, killing people at will, killing Americans, covering their asses all the time. Vosey's response of "when we win" was clearly referring to more than just Bourne (he could have just said "when Bourne is dead"). And the reason it makes me think of Bush is because that's his same bullshit response about Iraq and the war on terrorism. "When we win" is a simplistic and insufficient answer of how to finish a war, or a covert CIA operation that has spun out of control.

I still think you are wrong, you are looking way too far into it. They were playing a game of cat and mouse, and when is it over? When they win. It had nothing to do with making a jab at Bush.

that timeline thing really threw me for a loop, especially since i had just watched the 2nd one. i thought the beginning of the third occurred immediately after the second, or is that not right. can someone run down the timeline real quick

it made it pretty clear in Ultimatum that the last scene in the Supremacy where he was in NYC was actually several weeks (or days? i saw it a few weeks ago....) after he left Moscow. So, the Ultimatum picked up at the 2nd-to-last scene of the Supremacy in Moscow. Then maybe 2/3's of the way into Ultimatum, they revisited the last scene of the Supremacy when Bourne got to NYC.

the beginning of ultimatum took place after he apologized to the russian girl and before he called Landy in her office

the second half of ultimatum happened after he called her office
