It was obvious that he was black when they mentioned that it was a pair of purple pants with pinstripes.

i wonder if the defendants can sue for anything more than legal fees?
seems as though they deserve something for their time/trouble/money lost. 6/28/2007 2:47:49 PM |

He should be excommunicated and lose the right to live in society. He should be given two choices: go live in a jungle/mountains/desert/etc, or leave the country.7/8/2007 7:52:32 PM |

The US Chamber of Commerce is backing these people. WTF is wrong with this guy? It says in the article that they have over $100k in legal bills and that has "wiped them out". Where does he think they will get $54 million from?
What's the scariest thing to me here is that one crazy person can come along and, within some ridiculous confines of the "law", totally ruin all you have worked for in life. This guy has essentially forced the Chungs into working the rest of their lives because I'm sure he destroyed what savings they had and then some. It really frightens me that we live in a country that actions like this are allowed by the legal system.
I think going into this he knew he wasn't going to win, but he had a personal vendetta against the dry cleaners. He knows the law and how to manipulate it, so he figured he would wipe out their entire bank account because they misplaced his ugly pants one time.
