My brother lost a leopard at cedar hills a while back, and then found it mounted on a rack at play it again off 70 yesterday. It's a small, small world in disc golf.

I thought I had heard rumors that Barber Park was shut down. Contaminated soil or something.

There's a good course in Yadkinville. I think a new one just opened in Statesville as well. Those are kind of Greensboro-ish.

Is the park off Castle Hayne the only place in the Wilmington area? I'm in Southport.

i think he told me that he found the basket, as in someone left it in the parking lot for whatever reason...so he brought it over there, either way its labeled as 10a or Leerock's basket

played out at Harris Lake today, +4 from the whites is decent for me, but I had a great time.

Also, has anyone ever built their own disc golf basket? I'm thinking about buying some $10 plans on eBay, mainly because that will mean I don't have to deal with trying to figure our the intricacies on my own. any thoughts?

i really would like to witness....b/c i am pretty new to disc golf.....someone throwing it that far. While talking to the guy up at play it again sports, he said he could drive it ~500 yards. I thought that was pretty crazy

you mean 500 ft...and if he could do that then he should be playing pro....

he can probably only throw 400...

i can throw somewhere between 400-500 feet...i just havent practiced enough distance throws to keep it accurate though, i know a few people who can throw it farther than i can and i would never consider them going pro

next thursday is the last week for Kentwood summer doubles this year, i will be vying for the top spot for overall amateur division winner after 2 good rounds to surge up to the top(-18 last week, yes birdied every hole, and -17 this week...with the same partner, talk about some luck)

anyone who likes to play disc golf and has $3 to shell out should come out.

i shot a -7 a kaplan a couple days ago.. one of my best scores. i had one hit off the basket off the tee off

is that 10a hole really labeled? i'd like to try it but not if they're gonna get upset that im in their yard by their horse dog

i dont think its actually his yard, plus i think he put it there for anyone to play it. ive almost aced it twice now, my best chance went right underneath it, i wouldve taken off in a mad sprint to the basket had i aced it

^ -7 is pretty good

no one has mentioned how they finally cut the foliage on #3 so you can actually see the basket from the tee now

oh and i "saw" someone ace #5 the other day... and by saw i mean heard it, turned and saw it in and the guy going nuts (thats a tough shot uphill, etc)

yea, i havent aced 5 yet, came close once but it is tough...and number 3 is way too easy again, i liked having to go over the foliage, the course is alraedy easy enough there

went out there yesterday and shot a 10 down, I don't play that course enough anymore, I always deemed it as shitty, but it's not bad for the land they have.

kentwood is definitely an easy course. but i enjoy playing it. it has all the different hole types and you can put up a good score and feel good about your disc golf game.

the big advantage of Kentwood is that its like 5 seconds away, and doesnt take a long time to play and you dont have to walk too far. its a good course for relaxing
