thats because critics are movie snobs who cant enjoy a blood bath of a movie. It has to have a plot and a subplot and meaning and blah blah blah blah blah.

Going to go tonight. cant wait

Is it just me or do critics tend to give awesome movies bad reviews and boring movies (especially the artsy-fartsy kind) great reviews?

^^ need some clarification / examples of 'artsy' movies you didnt like. because otherwise you sound like youre just whining that you cant get into good movies.

but as a whole critics are pretty terrible

I have found that on most movies (except ones that EVERYONE likes like Terminator 2 or EVERYONE hates like Date Movie) I completely disagree with the critics. When I saw the trailers for Rambo, I knew not to expect a deep plot with incredible acting and CGI. I knew it was a pure action movie... that is exactly what I wanted in the movie, and that is exactly what I got. If it had been promoted as something other than pure action, then yeah, I would probably be disappointed, but as a movie where you don't have to think and all you have to do is watch and say "oh shit that was awesome", this movie gets an A+.

props to Rambo for setting off that WW2 bomb btw, that was great.

enjoyed the shit out of this movie. that said, i am fully expecting and hoping to see Rambo: Final Exams, as he takes on the rigors of Yuma Community College.

My apologies to anyone in the theatre with me for laughing my ass off at Midnight Meat Train! How the HELL did the studio approve that?!

best movie ever

I now know what a .50 cal machine gun and sniper rifle does to the human body. And I still want one.

Wish it was a little longer. Maybe a bit more ingenuity in a few of the killings. Loved the bow and arrow shots.

Never seen so many heads go POOF evar.

Went to the theater dressed in camo and red bandanas w/ about 7 other friends, and we get there, and 10+ other people are dressed up in the exact same outfit. RAM - BO chants were going off before the previews, cried laughing from Midnight Meat Train, and it was just an awesome atmosphere for the movie. Exactly what I expected and hoped for.....dvd will be owned.

I saw it twice this weekend. Final kill is awesome. Everything about this movie is exactly what I wanted and expected (better than I expected).

Screw the critics, apparently seeing a childhood hero back ripping bad guys in half isn't their bag.

Movie would have been better if it had any of the following:

A counter in the corner for the # of heads blown off.
A counter in the corner for the # of limbs blown off.
A counter in the corner for the # people killed.

Or all of the above.

saw it tonight! It was awesome.

To the point, no useless dialog, raw action. Definitely was badass.

Glad sly kept his shirt...his body in Rocky Balboa was grosser than all this gore combined.

and with the throat rip, this solidifies a place in my favorite movies right beside Road House.

just saw it today...my friend said it was 10/10....i dont agree...i'd give it a solid 8 or so...a little on the short side(87 minutes)...the gore was a little too overdone imo....had some stereotypical type stuff but overall still def. watchable

So I here Rambo's latest trip to Burma is being blamed on a cyclone.

Odd how the media twists the facts.

Nobody acknowledged my excellent joke referring to the cyclone that killed tens of thousands of people, and then I make it sound like its because of rambo going back.

Its funnier when you explain things.

i actually disagree. to me it looks like sly's face has gotten fatter and his nose is weird now, like he's actually spent a lifetime boxing. harrison has some wrinkles, but for the most part looks the same

How is this movie not more popular?

This might have been the best Rambo yet and I liked all of them.

FYI, the first Rambo film wasn't really even about killing or action. Only one guy died in it, and that's because he fell out of a police helicopter after Rambo threw a large stone at it in defense. In fact, he could have killed an entire squad of policemen, but he simply scares the shit out of them and ties them up/breaks a bone then runs into the woods. It is actually a really good commentary on the way that Vietnam veterans were treated.
