ga ga ga ga ga is definitely a good one and has been all over the fucking place on mainstream outlets (commercials, football games, SNL, etc)

My parents love Magic album. My dad played it all the way down to Columbia on Saturday.

^^^^ I love the cohesiveness of the album even though many of the tracks sample different genres.

I feel like almost every new album I've gotten into this year has been outstanding, with the exception of Sky Blue Sky, which has nearly destroyed an unrelenting faith in Wilco that I've had since I first heard Being There.

Akron/Family - Love is Simple
Ween - La Cucaracha
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
Band of Horses - Cease to Begin
LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver
Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
White Stripes - Icky Thump
QOTS - Era Vulgaris
Okkervil River - The Stage Names
Blonde Redhead - 23
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Ryan Adams - Easy Tiger (no jacksonville city nights, but still great)

i refuse to give ryan adams the time of day anymore based solely on how much of an asshole he is and his almost complete avoidance of NC these days.

There are a couple of good songs on Easy Tiger, but I find it generally underwhelming.

I heard Spoon playing in Chili's, but that wasn't nearly as unusual as hearing Low there the same day.

Im actaully really liking the Tera Melos quite a bit bassman803. Not sure how I hadnt heard of them before.

Sometimes I wish they were actually more straightforward (feels weird for me to say that) because I think they could write a lot of great catchy melodies. Then again I guess thats what minus the bear is for

i'm glad someone brought up mtb's planet of ice. is it album of the year material? no. but it's def worth checking out. they went back to they're routes of writing good music/songs rather than trying to sound like an emo-botch band. i think this one can strike with nearly anyone.

...but i am a long time mtb fan.

National - Boxer
Stars Of The Lid - Stars of the Lid and Their Refinement of the Decline

I also need to do my top songs of the year.

if youd've acted a couple weeks ago, you could have a year's subscription to Paste for as little as $1.

They Radiohead-ed it and let everyone name their price.
