I think it's a great album, and I can't wait to hear it on a good stereo. I'm out-of-town right now, and my laptop just can't do it justice.

He rapped circles around Lil' Wayne on Barry Bonds.

I think I read somewhere that Flashing Lights is supposed to be this album's Gold Digger.

"J_Hova: at any rate, just based on feel and vibe of the album, i'd say 3.5/4 outta 5"

I'm gonna agree with you on this one...hell, that might even be a little generous (3 outta 5, I think is more accurate)...and I'm a Kanye fan. This album isn't even close to being as good as Late Registration.

I can't believe that Kanye wasted a Mos Def collabo on "Drunk and Hot Girls." That shit's awful.

With the "Barry Bonds" track...I feel like this was Ye's obligatory "let's-make-a-track-with-the-most-popular-rapper-out" track. On Late Registration, he did it with Paul Wall, now he's got Wayne....and there's no way "Barry Bonds" competes with "Drive Slow."

Home (circa College Dropout) >> Homecoming (ft. Chris Martin)

At least the skits are gone, though.

The difference is Daft Punk is duo of DJ's. They sample, produce and bring tracks into electronica. If you don't recognize the difference between the sampling of cola bottle baby into harder better, and Kanye's sampling of harder better, I feel sorry for you.

The former uses a baseline chorus sample and builds a new song in a different genre out of it.

The latter uses the entire mastered track and lays new lyrics over it.

I like the new song from Kanye, but I like it because it's basically a Daft Punk remix, not a well produced song based on a Daft Punk sample.

I agree about Mos being wasted.

I couldn't really get into "drive slow" simply b/c I couldn't get Eminem's use of that beat out of my head every time I heard it.

And while "home" came out 2-3 years ago, and it's lazy as hell to put that out on an album now, "Homecoming" is a damn fun song.

I was listening to "Good Life" earlier...and it annoys the shit out of me.

At first, I thought it was just because of T-Pain, who just grates my nerves on whatever song he's on...but then it hit me...there are so many bitten (from old Kanye songs and other hip-hop joints) lyrics on this album.

Good Night ft. Mos Def was leaked last night, http://www.zshare.net/audio/3470318ed2ec47/ it is a Japan/UK extra track. Its a good song, but still feel that Kanye could use Mos Def better, cause on Two Words he was sick.

"I Wonder", "Can't Tell Me Nothing", "The Glory", and probably "Good Morning" in no particular order

I really like "Drunk and Hot Girls" too.

^^nah naw you... (kill yourself)

I love that show Adventures in Hollyhood. Good stuff.

^^BTTT, what's your beef with that song? I know, you really think it sucks, and you got your opinion...but still, I think it's catchy, not great, but it's not THAT bad. Yeah, he tried something different, and it didn't work as well.

Still, if you want to put it as your bottom two or the worst song on the album, I can see why.

if me saying how much it sucked hurt your enjoyment of a song, then you prolly didn't dig it that much in the first place

just sayin

Haha Fifty claimed he'd retire if Kanye out-sold him week 1, haha, c'mon Kanye!

Favorite tracks are Homecoming and Big Brother after giving the cd several listens. The Glory and Good Life are solid too.

Wonder if it's any coincidence my favorite track on Jay's last cd was "Beach Chair"(feat. Chris Martin) and my favorite on this cd is "Homecoming"(feat. Chris Martin)? Haha.

"I told Jay I did a song with Coldplay, next thing I know, he got a song with Coldplay."
