Does anyone know if they are actually going to show the monster. I kinda envisioned them not doing so just to let the audiences' imagination run wild. Plus, with it being released in January, I figured it's a relativerly low budget movie that didn't have the funds for the CGI.

I think that is the key to a really scary movie, not seeing the monster. No matter how scary they make it, it wont be as scary as the one you are imagining yourself.

However, people like to have closure when leaving a film. So not only do they want to see the monster, they want it killed by the end.
