one of the funniest things I noticed was during one of the episodes in season three...can't remember which one...michael is speaking about how detailed television shows usually are, and want to pull the viewer in to feel that it's all real. When he opens the cabinet, all there is is a starbucks coffee cup. Then george-michael opens another cabinet, and there is a single pack of crackers, which he pulls out and eats.

hilarious.

yeah, i loved that scene. Just watched it a couple weeks ago - it's in the beginning of S3, because I only watched a couple episodes of S3 then.
He's saying something like how "hollywood is so thorough with sets now'a'days, and how you can hardly tell a set from reality".
I loved it how when George Michael opened the cabinet, he looked around for a second, like he was looking around to see what all was inside the cabinet, then kind of reluctantly grabbed the bar - the only thing in there.

just finished s3, it took me all the way to the episode where rita walks on water to realize the epilogues at the end weren't really just previewing what happens next ep. I skipped so many of them

but seems like, especially from what the thread suggests, you can just watch the series again to pick up on tons of shit.

Yeah, you learn Buster loses his hand in an epilogue.

It's funny in that same episode George mentions something about holding Buster's hand and ominous music plays.

What was the deal with the "Previously on" part of the second episode of the Third season? Was that where they had to cut an episode or something?

^^ From what I understand, Fox was prodding them to do ANYTHING to increase ratings. Same reason for the "SOMEONE. WILL. DIE." gimmick that ended with, "Oh, Gob, you could charm the black off a telegram boy."

^^^ i've been a huge fan for a long time. My wife had previously seen only bits and pieces in passing, and never understood why i found it so hilarious, and I could never convince her to sit down and watch it with me.
Then I went out of town for a week on a business trip and she was bored and decided to watch some episodes on DVD. She ended up watching all 3 seasons in two weeks

even better is in the first season (I think) when Buster used to have the hand chair...Lucille throws it out and when he sees it it says "I sure do miss that hand"...and of course when he sits on the bench before he goes swimming in the ocean and the bench advertisement says one arm (or one hand...can't remember but still highly entertaining)

I was just watching the second season when Tobias goes blue

Tobias: "I'm afraid I just blue myself"
Michael: "There's got to be a better way to say that"

I never realized how hillarious this show is, but I just started watching season 1. The only episode I ever caught on TV was the 'muscle suit' one, which was a little too much for me at the time, though hillarious now.

It looks like there is a petition for a 2009 christmas special. http://www.arresteddevelopment2009.com/

^ yeah, I think that's the reason it had such low viewership. It just wasn't the type of show you could catch a random episode of and enjoy/ understand if you hadn't seen the ones before it. Most people who watch the DVDs love it, though.
