I finally bought the game today and have only clocked about 2 hours in. But I played my first online Wii games, and they were awesome. I actually won a series! But yet got my a$$ handed to me in another.

The game plays so smooth online and 1P that I'm rather impressed. Damn impressed by the effort Next Level Games and Nintendo put into this. Gives me GREAT hope for Smash Brothers Online

^page2^ I rock the double Dry Bones and Monty Mole holds it down in the back....

The Dry Bones can score with the deke through the goalie and his charge shot that stuns the kritter is also effective. He's fast as shit and hard to defend with Birdo/HammerBro/KoopaTroopa...

it just stopped working one day right before i left for Grenada, and i didnt get around to sending it back. I didnt heed the warnings about how hot they got when left on wiiconnect all the time...

daisy with dry bones and birdo up front and hammer bros in back

daisy and dry bones can both deke through the goalie, both can stun the goalie too. Daisy with her special and dry bones with his skill shot. Birdo has an instagoal move unless a player blocks it.

^I was using something similar to that but I just couldn't really get many shots in with Daisy so I gave up. I do like her speed though.

nah its a lot easier. one player can easily lock down the opposing team several times a game allowing your teammate to get off special shots and megastrikes.

Yeah, two players (or more) is a must to beat the striker cup I.M.O.

The main difference in difficulty is that the computer has all four of its players doing stuff (as opposed to less in the earlier cups) while you still can only control one. It really helps having two players on your team working together to score, otherwise the computer will barely let you have the ball before you are knocked out and they fire a 6ball orange megastrike....

Watch in striker cup how the comp knocks down any players trying to stop a charging megastrike. Mimic that with 2 players and you're on your way.... The players on your team that you arent controlling (when you're trying to charge a shot for example) just stand there pretty much....

got a new favorite team now: wario up front, double dry bones, and then birdo at the back. The passing is average but everything else with this team is perfect. One of the dry bones could also be subbed out for a hammer bro if you are good with his deke.

this game is great for someone like me, who doesn't play it everyday, but when I do I can just pick it up and rock it out for a good long time. its not like trying to play Zelda. which is murder on your soul.

^^if im not mistaken, that bar is sensor bar, so it senses everything from button pushing to pointing.

the motion sensors are actually inside the remote and chuck.

in addition to blocking the megastrikes, you shake the remote and chuck for hitting opponents and screwing up the megastrike allignment.

^you are mistaken. the "sensor" bar doesn't actually sense anything at all.

The sensor bar is a series of about 10 infrared LEDs. All the sensor bar is doing is transmitting light, exactly the same as a flashlight, but in a spectrum we can't see.

The wiimote receives that data, as well as motion and button pushes and sends it to the wii via bluetooth (if I'm not mistaken, but I've heard bluetooth).

If you look at the "sensor bar" through a digital camera or a camera phone you can actually see the LEDs because the cameras pick up a spectrum of light that we can't see.

I'm officially boycotting hammer spammers. Anyone who outright spams the hell out of the hammer brothers deke will get an instantaneous disconnect from me. Most of the time I can get it away from them but if all the player does is pass the ball to his hammer brothers and go nuts with the D-pad, he isn't worth playing.

^ that hammerbro deke shit is cheap but you can time it so that you hit him in between dekes after you get used to it. I played a guy who used 3 ghosts and he went invisible and shot at the same time right next to my kritter. every time he did that he scored a goal.

The disconnect right before you lose is even cheaper than the hammer bro deke. Take yer licks and figure out how to counter it. yes, MS is easy if the lag isnt bad, but I have wireless (and it lags when my roomate is streaming porn)

^Yeah the fucking replays annoy the hell out of me too. It's bad enough that we can't skip through the opening cutscene and megastrike movies. Whenever I score a goal I always skip through the replays but it annoys the hell out of me when they just sit there and make you watch it five times.

What we should do is make sure we have everyone's friend codes for the Wii itself. So when anyone is ready to play online, we shoot a quick note to everyone saying so, and then hop on the WiFi for Strikers.

As for me i'm mainly on later in the day. around 8-10 EST. I'm an hour behind you guys so chances are i'm just doing what you guys did an hour ago..ie get home, eat dinner..etc.

wow. I think I finally figured out the scoring.

It took me at least ten tries (thats alot of minutes), but I finally won both the golden foot and brick wall in the Striker Cup on my way to going up on Petey 1-0 in the finals! I cant bear to play the next game (or two) tonight so I am quitting while ahead for now. Has anyone beaten the Striker Cup yet?
