Yep. The odd thing is that they only included the main disc from Subsistence, not the one with MG1/2 on it.

just got around to playing mgs3 again. I'd never beaten before, it was too hard. Well today I found out I could change the camera (I have the subsistence copy) and what a world of difference. I can see there being 90min cutscenes in mgs4, there are several 20+min back to back cut scenes in mgs3. The james bond intro after virtuous mission was unexpected and the coolest thing I've seen in an mgs game so far

^You can always swap out the HD (Sony gives you the instructions in the box). Some games don't have installs (Uncharted) and some do. The ones that do can take anywhere from 1-2 GB to over 5 GB (DMC4).

this is the first game I've owned to support 1080p. question for those in the know. if I ghost an 80gb ps3 hdd and put it in my 40gb, will I gain backwards compatibility? other than drives, I thought the hardware was identical.

From what I hear the difference between 1080p and 1080i is marginal at best unless you have 50+ inch screen

yea i just got an hd projector and the image is probably a little more than 120" diagonally on my wall right now i don't have a screen yet

so i want to see what 1080p looks like

i called every wal-mart within a 30 mile radius and nobody has it

cary by far had the best customer service while sanford nearly made me want to drive down there and kill them all

I picked up the bundle around 1:30 from the Glenwood Best Buy. Saw two other folks picking it up while I was there, and when I left they had three left. They didn't have GTAIV which I was planning on picking up at the same time, might have to hit up a Target sometime later today.

^^the MGS4 bundle has the game + the 80G system which hasn't been made recently up until this bundle, + a bluetooth ear piece, + the new dualshock3 controller. Its the only package that has the dualshock3 and this is supposed to be it's "flagship" game.

According to wiki, Nintendo has sold 24.45 million Wii's and Sony has sold 13 million PS3's. While I'm sure the draw of this game is strong, there's no way one game is going to sell 11 million consoles.

No, the 40GB is missing one of the chips required for backwards compatibility.

This title alone? You realize that there have been 24+ million Wiis sold, right?

The idea that this game will move the roughly 12 million consoles that the PS3 trails by is absolutely insane, if not outright retarded.

the 80gb ps3 supposedly does its backwards support via software emulation while the 60/20gb units do it with the actual emotion engine from the ps2 as the sound processor is what I've read.
