i missed that, sorry. But yeah Kirk always seems to be kinda big on us. We all remember his comments from the FSU game last year (this is an NC State team coming of age, what a huge win for the program, program on the rise, etc). I guess if we ever do break through he'll be able to say he called it.

Beck said in his interview on Pack Pass that O'brien told him he would play in the game also. That is something O'brien failed to mention in his press conference. In fact, coach said that he told Evans he didn't have to look over his shoulder.

^^i think, ideally, we get up in the 1st half or 3rd quarter by 3 TD's and let beck & burke do mop up duty w/most of the rest of the first team offense against UCF (who should still have their starters). this would let TOB & staff get a look at all the QB's in a game situation against a new defense.

do i think we'll get up by 3 TD's? probably won't happen, thought i'd love for evans to only play the first 2 quarters and us be able to cruise through the 3rd and 4th. i think it'll be kinda tight till the 4th (i hope i'm wrong here), then baker & brown eventually wear down their D and we win by 14-17.

UCF has some talent just b/c of their location, Akron & So Miss were supposed to be easy wins and we still lost to them. they're all "lower tier" teams that would likely beat the pants off of dook or unc

I'm not saying we'll blow them away, because there's a strong possibility that our offense will still completely blow.

However, a loss to UCF is much worse than losing to Wake or UNC, much like the Akron, Southern Miss, and ECU losses last year were disastrous.

Before when they were doing the games on 680 AM they had a call in show after the game. Now that the games will be on 101.5 FM are they still going to have the call in show? I hope so, but I can see how they might not do it because they are going from a talk radio station to a non-talk station.

I think both teams are a bit underrated.
NCSU - This is a good first game under TOB to work out the jitters and tighten things up.
UCF - George OLeary is a very good coach at times, horrible season last year but they return many starters including Doak Walker candidate Kevin Smith. Good talent base in Florida.

Someone with the capability needs to capture that whole thing and put it on Youtube, so that it will be on the internet forever. ESPN will probably take it down sometime near the start of the new college basketball season. Also more people would get to see the dominance that our Six Pack put on the Karolina Keg.
