Just got the finishing touches on my costumes!!!

Red Hat has a big halloween party and costume contest every year... this year i decided to participate... I'm going as Rosie the Riveter


and for our friend's halloween party on Saturday night, I'm going as a 1940's society lady... although I look like I'm attending a funeral- black pencil dress, pillbox hat, wrist gloves and handbag.

I just want reasons to wear barrel curls in my hair.

A little cheesy, I know, but I've put a lot of work into the entire costume (crown, toga, fennel staff, greek sandals, makeup for the "man-woman" effect, the whole deal)

There’s always a ton of pirates. And I’m fine with seeing pirates at Halloween events in a coastal state like NC, but when too many them are trying to look exactly like and mimic the mannerisms exactly of captain jack sparrow, then it gets silly.

Although group costumes can be fun:

(one group costume franklin street '06... also notice the Master Shake in the background, there were many aqua teen groups out that night with the 3 primary characters)



How about a Blackbeard costume? He supposedly married a chick from Bath, NC.
