So because the Red Sox go out and buy their teams they are a better run organization?

Please. Any team that wins the series with a <100 million dollar payroll has done well.

I think the Rockies are really well put together. They have something going here with Hurdle. Dan O'Dowd is a pretty decent GM.

^ The fans have become mirror images of each other.

Game. Set. Match. Red Sox are champs.

They lost 2 games by 1 run.

Like I said the 9 day layoff killed them. In baseball more than any other sport because timing is so key that killed all their momentum.

Dammit if Manny is still in left, this guy might have went to extras.

Just to repeat:

Quote :
"Divisional Series:

Indians over Yankees 3-1
Red Sox over Angels 3-0
Diamondbacks over Cubs 3-0
Rockies over Phillies 3-0

Championship Series:

Red Sox over Indians 4-3
Rockies over Diamondbacks 4-0

World Series:

Red Sox over Rockies 4-0

Combined Series Winners: 24 wins
Combined Series Losers: 4 wins, 3 of those being in one series

This has to be the worst postseason in the history of professional baseball."

had that same thought right after they won 3 years ago...

you could feel the magic and history of baseball disappear

now it seems like there's no point anymore with the money and the steroids and etc

Only thing that would interest me is if the Cubs get into the WS...

In my mind the one last magical thing to happen in American sports are the Cubs winning the World Series. Once that happens, I can't think of anything left in any sport that would be truly inspiring and transcend sports in this country. Maybe the Sabres or Bills winning a title, but that's a stretch. The Leafs or Canucks winning the Stanley Cup would be magical, but no one here would care.

All we have left to live for now is seeing the Tampa Bay Bucs return a kickoff for a TD.

I thought the same thing when I saw the Breaking News window on ESPNEWS was:

Red Sox Win World Series
A-Rod Opts Out

So I guess the Tigers won't have anybody on that report. I am sure Magglio and the Gambler will be on the list and probably Placido.

Don't be bitter because your Tigers embarassed the AL last year losing in 5 games to the Cardinals.
