This game is crazy difficult, at least to me. I don't even have 5 stars yet I've been dying a lot more than feels normal. Still, the game kicks ass. It is just me, or do any of you love the pull star sound?

This game is just too fun...


Anyone who has beaten the bee level all the way. On the second star (the one when you have to beat the bug at the top of the tower) there is a part near the checkerboard surface that is kind of a floating mountain. I can jump to it but it is too steep to run or jump up... I keep sliding. No bee costume on this mission though, anyone get to the top the mountain?

Hell yes, I do - its got this fantastic outter space theremin sound.

I keep gushing about this game because its simply fantastic. Everything about the gameplay is fun - there's all sorts of shit you'll do in the game and it never feels old. One 'wow' moment to the next 'wow' moment. Makes me realize that anything in-house nintendo does will totally dominate with, so smash bros. will have to be unbelievable. Mario Kart too.

GOTY anyone? I'm 3-4 hours in and I already see it as a serious contender. Year is not over of course but still.

So when I was playing last night I realized how confusing this game could be to someone unfamiliar with the basic concepts. It is pretty fast paced for a Mario game considering how much you shoot between different planets. I also had fun with the Ray Surfing thing.

i like how collecting the stars feels like completing actual short levels like in old school mario. in mario 64 and sunshine, you had to get diff stars, but you always started at the same point and many of the paths to each star were similar. by the time you got to star 6, you pretty much wanted something new. galaxy tries to make it feel like theres a diff experience each time you do the same level, and for the most part, it succeeds. its a fantastic and utterly addicting game. it turned out way better than i was expecting. i'm glad they took out the blue coins and the damn 100 coin stars

aight ladies and gentlemen, i have come with a resolution to all of your problems.

so i went to curcuit city today and tried to get them to price match the 25 dollar gift card. the official rule is that if toys r us has it in stock, they can match it, but we all know they dont have anymore. the manager was like, "screw it, give him the 25 gift card, this man is giving us business" while all the employees were like "no we follow the rules."

so just in case the manager isnt there to hook it up, go run by toys before hand and ask whoever the sales rep is b4 hand to just say we have one is stock when u call from circuit city, it might cost u 5 bucks for him to hook u up, but it still works in ur favor.

oh and by the way, toys r us is expecting a shipment tomorrow of maio galaxy if u dont like cheating the system

^^120 stars total I think. I'm curious as to whether or not there are secret levels around on the main area that has all the observatories... kinda like in SM64 there was that stained glass window you could jump into to go to that sliding level.
