So what happened between you and Gronke to cause the falling out? I remember one night the two of you dropped in to the big lounge in Bragaw when I was putting on one of the big LAN/console parties that me and amgolds2 used to throw for West Campus. It was you guys, The Cheat and some other girl I hadn't met before, and you hung around long enough to shoot some pool and snigger at the otakus playing DDR; I think Gronke danced a song or two.

I met Gronke when we were both taking the same badminton class; he had about the same level of coordination you see in those videos of baby horses who've just been born and keep falling over their own legs. He never seemed to care about anything going on around him, was blissfully unconcerned about his lack of athletic prowess, and had this perpetual goofy grin on his face that--combined with his pale-ass complexion, short red gym shorts, and jangly walk--always reminded me of Willy Beamish.

On the other hand, I think the first time I met Leg was when I was buying a lamp from him back when he lived on Brent Rd. chxnhead was over there with him when I got there, and we hung out for a little bit; we didn't necessarily have a ton to talk about, but he let me go upstairs and play with third! and snoop for a while.

Personally, I don't really care who mods this site, as long as a couple of the more serious sections that "need" it actually do get modded. No one should ever have the expectation that any Chit Chat thread will be or stay work-safe, so there's really pretty little that should be needed there--the only thing I can think of that happens with any frequency which I would like modded is when a parody thread snowballs and results in 30 threads parodying the same thing on the front page. My main criteria would be that the person is online consistently and with enough frequency that they'll see most any thread and will able to act reasonably quickly in the odd circumstance that something needs modding; jackleg fits that criteria (but please, dear lord, don't let DNL mod anything). His main thing last time seemed to be modding gratuitous hate speech, which is fine by me as long as there's a judicious distinction made between random instances of racial slurs and actual hate speech. And look, it doesn't have to be a Supreme Court level of consistency and fairness in modding; this is a private site, and as long as there's a reasonable effort made that responds to user feedback, that's all I would ask. I don't presume to know the truth of any accusations or rumours of favoritism or malicious suspensions, so I can't really comment on that.
