Wake has a patch that simply says Coach on it. I don't believe the rest of the ACC teams are doing anything. What's the deal with North Carolina wearing their bars on the back of their jerseys? They did this for both football and basketball. Everyone else that I've seen has it on the front, where it should be.

people can outcoach roy any day of the week and carolina has had its fair share of off nights and struggles so far, but duke is out there waxing the floor with a top 20 team and I don't feel like K is ever gonna be the one to lose a game for them

^^ Duke is overwhelming an undisciplined team. That's when pressure defense works the best. It sucks against teams that have the poise and/or athleticism to counter punch and control the pace.

It's a defensive strategy that results in big wins over bad teams.

I just don't understand how every year opposing players leave Duke's best 3 pt shooter so open, usually in the corner. I mean come on you know how well those players can shoot the 3, you should be on them so much that you are mistaken for their shadow.

Nice Dickie V gave us some props. Talked about how impressed he is with Hickson, and that Costner was a good player.

I originally wanted to beat MSU b/c it would be a great statement win at one of the toughest places to play in the country for Sid and the boys. Now I just want to beat them b/c so many analysts talked about how we shouldn't have won that Villanova game and that out of the Challenge the only sure wins for the Big Ten were Indiana and Michigan State's games. Last I checked a pretty poor Georgia Tech team gave #15 Indiana a scare and could have beat them had they been able to knock down more of the easy lay ups and point blank shots. What makes our game a gimme to all of these analysts.

dont' you ever wear that shit again. You are at a Duke basketball game. The only colors that you should wear are Duke blue and white (or an orange incarceration jumpsuit when playing Carolina).


^ I agree that we haven't been overly impressive, but besides the New Orleans game, we've been doing what we needed to get the win. That Villanova game was a very good win. People can talk about the foul at the end, but Cunningham clearly hit Grant on the arm. Also the refs were terrible, with one of the most glaring examples being the travel called on Grant that should have been a foul on Nova. Also MSU hasn't been overly impressive. They barely beat Oakland the other night 75-71. And the only reason why they hung close with UCLA was b/c they were missing Collison and Roll.

Do what they did the time Ced simmons had a big game against duke a few years back -- lock down the three and take the lumps in the middle. In other words, take away the other team's strength and force them to their second option.

Simmons had a big game against shelden williams, but in the end, Duke executed well enough to beat us. They took away our strength (perimeter game) and forced us into our second option (a freshman carrying the load inside).

We can live with hickson, mccauley, grant, fells minimizing damage against whatever pussy ass duke big gets into the paint. It'll require us doing some things we haven't done yet such as rotating well, not getting stupid fouls, and rebounding, but that's all learnable by the time we play them. That's much better than those fags raining in wide open threes on us.

this was the funniest. especially because jay bilas just explained how they run the suns thing . teams don't choose to leave the corners open but when you have two guys in the post and get penetration you're either going to allow a shot that you could recover on from the corner or a layup. what would you pick?
