I'm under the impression that the guy John Connor goes and sees (the guy from Oz) didn't know about time travel and thought he was still alive...but he would have been 23 instead of the 15 he still was. Most people change physically a hell of a lot in those 8 years; they should have included some line about how he looked the exact same.

And what was with that decently hot Mexican girl just staring at the Terminator's tits for a second?


All in all, mediocre. I have it set to record every new ep, and I'll probably watch a few more to see if the series takes off at all before I give up on it.

^Not quite... there is a little explanation of it in the first Terminator. Kyle Reese told Sarah Connor that after the nuclear strikes and the Terminators mopped up the survivors, most of humanity had lost all hope and that John Connor was the one who "rose from the ashes" and gave people the motivation to keep on pushing. Also a big part of it is that all of his life, his mother trained and prepared him how to deal with Terminators and fight a war against them. Not everyone would have as strong of a mother figure to train him for that kind of thing.

I enjoy this show, after the first episode I was a little leary of what they were doing with this storyline, but after last nights episode (which seemed ALOT better than #1) I'm a little more optimistic.

^^^Still can't buy it. I'm glad they gave the explanation, but it still doesn't make much sense. I just find it difficult to accept that if John Connor isn't there to "rise from the ashes" that someone else wouldn't step up to the plate. If no one else would have had the motivation to do what he did then how does anyone have the motivation to even follow him. Meh, just a plot hole in a stupid movie.

Well remember that the original terminator sent back to kill Sarah Connor was the basis for Skynet. The remains of that terminator are what Miles Dyson and Cyberdyne were studying when they developed Skynet. If Skynet had sent back the original terminator to kill one of John's great great great grandfathers in the 1800s or something, they wouldn't have the technology back then to understand and analyze that Terminator and make Skynet to begin with. But that leads me to believe that Skynet had to know the first terminator would fail because if it hadn't been destroyed, they would never have been able to study it's parts to begin with.

in the first terminator film it explains that in time travel only organic like things can pass. That's why clothes and guns don't make it. It's also why the terminators need to be covered in flesh and blood.

by those rules hot good terminator chick should not have been able to travel to 2007 in the bank vault with the giant gash exposing her metal insides....


that's what someone at work was telling me. I don't know how I feel about that though... seems kinda lame. That's like saying if john connor had braces and had his mouth open he would have been left behind.

Future A - Humans are losing the war badly, humanity is being overrun by the machines. In a last ditch effort to save humanity, humans send Kyle Reese back in time to try to destroy Skynet before it begins. He gives up and decides to live his life like normal, impregnates Sarah Connor, John Connor is born. This leads to future B

Future B- This is the future presented in the first Terminator movie. Machines are losing the war, send Terminator to kill Sarah Connor. John Connor recognizes Kyle Reese as his father, sends him back to stop the Terminator. Machines recognize that it didn't work and send a more advanced terminator to try to destroy John Connor as a youth. Future Connor sends a reprogrammed terminator to combat it. In the past they manage to destroy the advanced technology that helped Skynet come to existence. This creates Future C

Future C - Skynet comes online later than in Future A and Future B, but is still stopped by John Connor. Machines send back the hot female terminator to attempt to kill John Connor and his lieutenants. Humans send a more advanced terminator to try to stop it. Humans succeed, Machines fail. Humanity slowly builds itself back up, machines are on the run. Humanity, fearing the robots will attempt another trip back to the past, prepare for this. They send teams of engineers back into the past to create a time machine. Also, resistance fighters are sent back in order to help the human resistence for the later war, as well as to keep an eye out for terminators. Humans recognize that multiple terminators have been sent back into history, send the most advanced reprogrammed terminator they have back to help John Connor. John Connor and Sarah Connor in past get transported 9 years into the future.

Future D - whatever happens in this show

just rewatched the episodes and something is up. when they first get to school and see the first painting cameron says 'Reimaging of a Trompe-l'oeil Fresco'. wierd. Pretty sure teacher is having affairs with girls and probably that one in chem lab as well. May make moves on cam which could bring attention to them?

On a side note there is certainly a lot of foreshadowning of a loving relationship between cameron and john. Too much is going on and she is wayyyy too human. She talks about feelings, laughs and even provacatively touched john on the neck!!!!

so this got me thinking....

maybe the machines sent her back to seduce john, gain his trust and turn him against his mother
