Sadly, not this time. The mid-levels warmed up just like they said it would and it all changed over to rain. Now had this storm come from the west (not south) and then stalled off of the coast then we all might likely getting around via sled. This one was just a teaser for you all. More fun out here in GSO but here too it is not going to last.

Earlier this morning WRAL was using the phrase "Just as we predicted..." to preface all of their weather reports on air and online. I guess someone called them on that one because they stopped using it.

They were right about snow changing over to rain, but they were over 4 hours off on their prediction on when it would be changing over.

^,^^ Yeah, the "snow" coverage takes priority over all. I really hate channel 11 though. It didn't rain last year but in the past when there was actually some moisture in the air they would interrupt final Jeopardy every night with their weather coverage of your typical summer thunderstorm in a county that's on the fringes of their coverage area. Drove me nuts.

V could be wrong, but I remember them saying that it would change over some time between 9 and 10AM.

The only thing that I heard wrong out here was that it actually started at 3am instead of the predicted 4am. No biggie though. More snow time for me!

When I went to sleep I heard them saying the start time was being pushed back from 4am to 2am and that we could be looking at 1-2" of snow now as opposed to half an inch. It was at that point I knew it would be all rain and went to sleep.
