Having seen NCFOM, I can say it is a fantastic movie. I have not see TWBB, but I assume it is just as great. This was obviously very close, and after I see TWBB, I am sure I will have a problem even choosing my choice between the two.2/24/2008 11:51:32 PM |

I thought it was all pretty fairly distributed, No Country was more director intensive and There Will Be Blood was more visuals and a one man show so the awards made sense to me. 2/24/2008 11:52:28 PM |

I just watched hightlights of the oscars and they did seem pretty boring. Although I'm glad NCFOM came out on top. I can't get over how great of a movie it is. 2/28/2008 12:23:32 PM |

Meh, I was slightly disappointed with the Oscars this year. The show was alright, actually, Stewart was a great host. My jaw was on the floor during the performance of "Falling Slowly". I ended up only getting ten right in my predictions, though, simply because both of the actress categories fucked me over. I think Blanchett not winning Supporting Actress was one of the biggest snubs of the night, if not the biggest snub.
I saw all of the BP nominees, too, and I really think NCFOM deserved to win... if TWBB wasn't nominated. TWBB was such a fuckin' masterpiece. 2/28/2008 12:36:35 PM |

I didn't think Stewart was that bad, considering the amount of time he had to prepare. But yeah, I pretty much loved Billy Crystal and all the zany over-the-top stuff he'd do.
