there is a church (christ scientist) on h'boro and there's one in north raleigh (on falls of the neuse I think).
they're similar to scientology in one aspect - no drugs/meds/etc. instead they use the power of prayer/faith healing. but there's no aliens or xenu or that crap.
there is a dianetics place in winston-salem though.

It's what they've done that pisses me off.
Why should the organization behind the largest criminal infiltration of the US government in history receive a tax break from that very same government?" |

It's a .rar archive about 23 megs or so in size I think. It's got a couple dozen documents in it or something.
It's not something you can really post here. Hundreds of pages of information and documents. 2/11/2008 9:40:26 PM |

Yeah.
It's pretty freaky shit.
Like, oh...what's fun...
From OT VIII: Jesus the Violent Pedophile!
Also...at OT VIII...You Are SUPERHUMAN!
Seriously. No wonder Germany, of all nations, is so suspicious of these folks. They probably took one look at OT VIII and its assertion that this $100k cruise on a ship and some weird ceremony "endows" the member with superhuman powers and said: "We've seen this shit before. GTFO our country."
Quote : | "GraniteBalls: they want to discredit the church, that's about all they can do to cripple the following." |
To underestimate the devastating impact crippling the following and recruitment would be a mistake. Scientology's on the ropes because despite all the litigated window dressing to the contrary, it's a pyramid scheme. And just like Amway, Quixtarr, and any other MLM scheme, Scientology is itself heavily dependent on their members and their tax-exempt status for money.
Fewer recruits and members mean less income for the them. To see what I mean, look at this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_as_a_business
As originally constructed, Scientology was determined by US courts to be a for-profit venture designed to enrich L. Ron Hubbard. The current tax exempt status is less than a couple decades old.
