Its not in the least. Majors as I stated, are a totally different breed of tourney. The fields are the best in the world and like I said, till you actually win the first part of it, The Masters, there should be no Grand Slam talk like what is going on now.

It gets so old watching the field crumble anytime Tiger is near the top of the leaderboard.

Someone step up and challenge him already.

the only crumble was really sing. Most people don't realize, but saturday and sunday courses generally are set up to play much harder and you have to bring your A game to sustain where you started the day. Tiger is just so good at playing difficult pin locations that he will always rise over the competition on saturday and sunday.

you look at this last tourney. His shot on 18 with a huge headwind bringing the water possibly into play was incredible. To be able to put that ball 24 feet away is insane. And the put he hit was nuts. I don't think it's fair to say that people crumble around him. I think if he wasn't around, these golfers would still play worse on sundays

and because tiger has not had success in the majors before, we should not talk about "grand slam" until he wins the first one.

^^Ha. I like how the commentators were going off about that shot. "He put it within a foot of where he was aiming."

Wouldn't that put the ball 1' from the hole. I guess he really wanted it 23' from the hole so he could make the winning shot even more dramatic.

^I'm nearly certain (as were the commentators) that Tiger was not playing it to the pin.

From the angle and distance he was at, it would have been near impossible to play it closer than he did.

If his streak is going to continue, Tiger has some major ground to make up. After being in the group of leaders with Ogilvy and Scott yesterday, Tiger shot a 72 and is now looking like he is going to be in the 4th from last group, 5 shots off the lead. Out of the top 31 golfers on the leaderboard, only 2 DID NOT shoot below par yesterday/this am. Those two being Stever Stricker and Tiger.

he has never been under par in the first round, and i believe never even even par

but he was yesterday

and the conditions are supposed to make the greens firm up

the way he's playing now....

if immelman just keeps playing steady golf, he has no shot.

I went last year. As perfect as it looks on TV, is even more flawless in person. I don't think there is an area of grass like Augusta National that is that big with zero weeds anywhere in the grass. I kept looking and couldn't find a single one. It silly how awesome that place is.

Immelman is sure to choke

once the wind picks up and the greens firm up everyone should score more poorly, he'll have quite the task on his hands tho

Tiger is out 4 weeks now due to knee surgery. ESPN said he would miss the players championship, but should be back for US Open.
