Well I would love to break the losing streak at Cameron. Plus a win over the #3 team in the nation on their floor which is the toughest place to play in the country would be great on the resume and make a lot of people forget about the @ UNC, @ MSU, @ CU, @ ECU, and UNO games. I think if we went 8-8 in the ACC and ended the regular season at 19-11 with a win over Duke @ Cameron we may sneak into the tournament. Hell Stanford got in last year with an 18 win season. The main thing right now that I want out of this season is to get back to the NCAA Tournament after a year's hiatus. I'd also like to see an increase in the win total though. Preferably to a 22 win season. Besides even if UNC wins the ACC Regular Season, I can live with that if they don't win the ACCT.

I'm all for winning the ACC tourny. I still dont understand why more of you don't care about the regular season. The regular season shows a record after 16 conference games instead of 3 or 4. (I know 3-4 in a row every day is incredibly tough and exciting, but it doesn't show your team's overall body of work as well)

I'm just sick of state having to do well and/or win the ACCT just to make the NCAA. With where we are I'd rather win the acc regular season and lose the 1st tourny game. With that we'd still be a 4 seed or higher in the NCAA

i dont think you understand what im saying. yes the tourny is important. right now i would rather have NC State on the level where we can win the ACC regular season (which really implies top 15 in the nation) rather than throw 3/4 wins together so we win the ACC tourny. the NCAA tournament >>>>>> ACC tournament and if we could win the acc season then we have a much, much better shot at the NCAA, where the last place team in the ACC could win the ACC tourny

that's a pretty dumb suggestion... i would rather have a win over the #3 team in the country on their court come tournament time. seriously, if we can beat the #3 team on their court then we'd be able to beat all the rest of the teams on our schedule this year. knowing that might give the team some confidence.

(at the same time though, knowing that will only make it worse when we do lose)

^They put a giant tv in Reynolds once a year for a rivalry game when we either play UNC, Duke, or Wake. You can sit in the baseline stands and watch the game. Plus they give away lots of free food and prizes. The dance team, cheerleaders, and pep band will be there to create a game time atmosphere. I always go just for the free food and prizes. It was started to promote making good choices in life and address the drinking problems that sometimes occur at colleges.

^Yeh they always give a mountain bike to one guy and one girl who win that contest. I read that they are doing that again. Two years ago when they did it for the Wake game only about 100 people showed up, so my friend got to shoot for the bike. He won, but it was only the 2 of us together. I have a firebird and he has a camero, so his dad had to drive to Reynolds from Clayton after the game and take the wheels off the bike to fit it in his car. It was about 30 degrees out and we were freezing our asses off while we took the bike a part. LOL!
