krod mandoon - unfunny spoof of a completely average show.

This show is hercules/xena caliber.

the books this is loosely based on are decent, the few episodes i've seen of this are pretty

Just gets me that much more excited for HBOs "Game of Thrones" so we can have a fantasy tv series that steps outside the realm of cheeseball fantasy

for sure. Read them when I was younger because my dad was a fan. Wouldn't mind re-reading them again at some point.

exactly...i don't particularly mind cheeseball fantasy since that's what i'm expecting when i'm watching it, but i'm definitely ready for some LOTR-quality shows

any of y'all watch BBC's merlin? it's a bit better than the LOTS/xena/hercules-type shows

cara this season is definately the same cara from last season (tabrett bethell).

I love how she removed the "chestpiece" from her mord'sith outfit so she now shows cleavage. epic wardrobe change right there.

I need to catch up. I still have mixed feeling about this show, but I do get all squeeky when something from the books actually happens

A fun episode overall, i thought it was pretty funny seeing how cocky zedd was in his young age.

This season seems to have a more involved plot line than the first. The episodes are still somewhat contained, but are leading into each other much more than they ever used to. For this, I am grateful.

Here are my predictions:

Cara can't handle the loss of her boyfriend and goes rogue
Denna is not dead (obviously) - she will be back
Richard will continue to be full of [fail]

Also, now that Vikki got killed, does that mean that his "hawn" or whatever is gone for good?

I still watch (on hulu). the plot has strayed so far from the books it isnt funny, but at least it keeps me guessing... I really feel like they sold out this season to highlighting generally "attractive" characters in most all of the episodes -not sure what audience they are targeting anymore

I guess they're targetting me.... I'm digging this season much more than last season if only because each episode leads much more into the next.

Also, who the F cares about the books if the more attractive girls are getting more screentime?

what the hell, LOTR is the model on which all cheeseball fantasy is based.

game of thrones will be like rome in medieval times (hopefully).

Please, Kevin Sorbo fantasy has been around for years before the LOTR movies (which I'm assuming what people were referring to).

Not having seen this show at all, but having seen enough Hercules, Xena, and Brisco County Jr. for one lifetime, I can guarantee a taco stand will be featured at some point in this show.

this show has provided some interesting twists and is actually following ~60% the books. but wtf was up with the 'one-episode seeker'? that was one of the lamer twists imo

"My friend Jennifer Godwin at E! Online (who probably ain’t gonna love this post) suggests CW is the perfect network for Seeker and that it would fit nicely at 9pm after Smallville on Friday nights.

Sorry Jen, that’s not gonna happen. The CW doesn’t dabble in scripted shows that aren’t produced by one of its parents networks (CBS and Warner Bros) anymore. Every scripted show on the CW now comes out of either CBS or Warner Bros. That way, the CW itself can lose a lot of money (which it does) but its parents are still happy because they wind up making money once the DVDs, international revenue, etc. are factored in."

aside from this, i don't see this type of show making it into primetime, even if it's a crappy friday slot for those who stay at home on a regular basis (admittedly a significant portion of the seeker crowd, i'm sure)...it's too niche

"Some will suggest Syfy is the perfect fit and from a programming point of view I’d agree. But, if ABC couldn’t make the finances work for Tribune, it seems very unlikely that it could make them work for Syfy."

considering how many times i'd turn on scifi to find xena/hercules marathons in the middle of the day when i was consulting and working from home, this could definitely work...i think the fan base is there, but i agree with his assessment that if the cost was too high for for tribune, it might be too high for syfy

that said, i would assume that in addition to commercials, cable-only stations get some small part of what the customer pays the provider for access, so maybe the cash monies issue is less important than it was for tribune

in any case:

whoever thought to only hire superhot women and make them wear tight dresses with leg slits that go to their crotch and show off their sweet gams deserves several emmys

of have chicks dress in dominatrix leather and beat each other with dildos. Too bad that was not enough to save the show. I thought it really picked up at the end.

I thought the second season was a bit slow and repetitive overall. Too much BS with the sisters of the dark, and it took too long to get to the stone of tears imo, but when it did, it picked up very quickly. I loved the 2 part finale, and i thought the whole alternate reality thing was pretty enjoyable. I'll be sad to not be able to look forward to new episodes every week.
