Back to business today after the boys took a day off yesterday.

Question: Do you think Lou will go with the 4 man rotation in the playoffs or put Lilly in the bullpen?

OR bring in Lilly to start the 6th in Harden's starts, when he has 100+ pitches through 5.

Someone needs to sit down with Harden and tell him to hurry up his plate appearances. His pitches/PA is awful.

Does that really matter?

Yes it does matter. The reason being you want your good pitchers to be able to pitch as deep into the game as possible. Each pitcher has a certain pitch count when their performance starts to slide and they have to be relieved by the bullpen. So if you have to leave the game during the 5th or 6th inning you leave the rest of the game (4-5 innings) to the bullpen which in most every teams case is not as good as the starting pitchers.

When he averages 4 pitches / PA (this is what he AVERAGES!), that's serious.

He's putting the pressure both on the bullpen in HIS game as well as the next guy in the rotation since the bullpen just had to pitch last night.

Don't get me wrong, Harden is a STUD and his stuff is nasty but someone needs to tell him to stop nibbling away at hitters like a little bitch and just DEAL.

i always talk to my mom about the cubs since she grew up in chicago and a diehard cubs fan, but she always tells me it's too early

but she's been through it before, in 1969, and what was it.....1984?

In 84 they actually made the playoffs, but blew a 2-0 series lead to San Diego. They didn't make it at all in 69.

in 69, they had an like a 8 1/2 game lead on the mets and cardinals around mid august, but ended up sucking a nut and losing the division to the mets (who won the world series I think) by like 10 games...

I went to the game on Friday. The Cubs are definitely for real, I just wish the idiots that show up at Wrigley weren't their ambassadors. I loved how the d-bags behind us were talking shit to the Cards by saying "YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE RELEASED EDMONDS!!!!!!!". Granted he did hit two dingers.... haha

(He was traded to SDP before SDP released him).

Cubs outscore triple-a Atl 18-2 to go 5-0 against them this season. Here's to Lilly completing the series/season sweep tomorrow.

All it took was a fake home game in Milwaukee.

Zambrano is a piece of shit. This is still the same guy who punched his catcher, right?

At least our players didn't fix a World Series. And yes they have played in them before....and yes I know the White Sox beat the Cubs in one of those series...and you still haven't proven those Sox fans who beat up the Royals coach were really Cubs fans.

Props to Big Z tonight.

Houston has now suffered this No-No and Kerry Wood's 20 strike-out game 10 years ago.

How exactly is giving the Cubs some free homegames justified by MLB?

What a screw job for the Astros...
