people LOVE animals. and juries LOVE animals. my crim law was telling us this story about some woman on trial for either killing or severely maiming her abusive husband. and the jury wasn't really feeling the woman, so her defense attorney brought up a story about a time when the husband threw their dog out of their moving car. apparently the woman was acquitted the next day.

this could just be a lawyer tall tale, but everyone LOVES animals.

animals can't be nice or dicks because they don't have any morals. they really can't be innocent, nor guilty.

however in this country people think that the 'innocent if not yet guilty' right is for animals as well. people also seem to forget that rights are given to men, not animals. (some would even argue that this right is only given to men as in males, but that's a whole other debate)

bottom line: that girl shouldn't have died, even though she was also doing something shady. poor geese, tho i doubt it will be missed.
