Not the weapon, but the action.

yeah i remember my friends getting pissed and banned me from choosing remote mines on weapon select

No fucking shit. I can not count the times yesterday while playing that i would spawn right into the middle of a firefight.
On one occasion i spawned right in front of an enemy sniper who proceeded to knife me before i could turn to fire my weapon.
On another occasion i spawned right where a grenade was landing. SO BOOM!!

My Picks
- the n00b Cann0n in Counter Strike 1.5
- shotgun in halo1 (now the shotgun is to underpowered in Halo3)
- the SAW in Battlefield: Vietnam

^ Are you kidding me? They can't attack air and need serious backup to keep from dying like bitches. Really, I only use them as demolition squads in bases once my air units/goliaths have done most of the work.
Although after being on the attacking end, now, of a adrenaline boost/level 2 melee upgrade/level 2 carapace upgrade zergling rush, I would vote for them. Holy crap, that wasn't even funny.

Yeah the Shotgun in Halo 1 was overpowered as hell. It could hold 60 rounds, 12 shells per clip(?), it had good range, and it would reload fast as fuck. It was the only weapon you'd need against The Flood. Now in H3 the shotgun only holds 20 rounds I think, maybe 30, and 6 shells per clip. And it reloads slow as fuck. I think the Shotgun in Halo 2 was worse though. At least in H3 I can kill a brute in the campaign on legendary with one shot and a fist to the face.

i still say the shotgun got weakened to much. I haven't quite figured out if its the effective range or the actual damage.

What is worse is I still can't get over how weak grenades have come. I remember always being able to strategically throw a grenade to kill someone. Now grenades are little more then cause a little damage before you roll in and try to spray someone down; unless you get lucky and have the grenade blow up right next to the person.
