Uh, Rocket Queen?

Pretty Tied Up isn't really high on my list on favorite GnR songs.

y'all realize this has leaked, right?

also, Chuck Klosterman gave it a ridiculously good review. He had a ton of positive things to say about it and finished it up with an A-

Who gives a fuck about a poor quality myspace stream?

A retail release copy leaked very early last week.

"China state media blast new Guns N' Roses album

BEIJING (AP) — A newspaper published by China's ruling Communist Party is blasting the latest Guns N' Roses album as an attack on the nation.

Delayed since recording began in 1994, "Chinese Democracy" hit stores in the U.S. on Sunday, although it is unlikely to be sold legally in China, where censors maintain tight control over films, music and publications.

In an article Monday headlined "American band releases album venomously attacking China," the Global Times said unidentified Chinese Internet users had described the album as part of a plot by some in the West to "grasp and control the world using democracy as a pawn."

The record "turns its spear point on China," the article said.

China's Foreign Ministry did not respond to faxed questions about the article, although a spokesman speaking on routine condition of anonymity said: "We don't need to comment on that."

Spokesmen for the Culture Ministry and State Administration of Radio, Film and Television could not be reached for comment.

The song could be heard online Monday and it was not immediately possible to tell whether China's Internet monitors were seeking to block access to it.

Monitors use content filters that highlight and sometimes block messages containing words such as democracy. That prompted some Internet users to combine English and Chinese characters in their postings about the album to skirt such monitoring.

this is mediocre at best, imo. Its definitley not the type of music that made GnR of old so great- basic hard, bluesy rock n roll.

Axl Rose out to reunite original Guns N' Roses line-up
Article from: The Daily Telegraph

December 03, 2008 12:00am

RECORD execs are fuming after Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose went missing for two months before the release of the band's comeback album - but word is he has been trying to get the original line-up back together for a world tour.

Bosses at label Geffen are blaming Rose for the disappointing sales of Chinese Democracy - which took 15 years to make and cost at least $30 million - after vanished and refused to promote it.

They actually failed to make contact with him from the day he delivered the final cut.

But the star has reportedly been trying to get the original gang to reunite.

Guitarist Izzy Stradlin is keen to see the original members back together - while Slash's involvement in current band Velvet Revolver looks shaky after they were dropped by their label.

i've only listened to the single "chinese democracy" and was not impressed. it really was just an overproduced jumble of meh for me. maybe the whole album doesn't suck like that. i tend to agree with everyone tho, it sounds like it should be an axl rose album not a gnr album. sounds like there is only one other member of the chinese democracy gnr that is a gnr oldie. to me it's kinda like if ozzy had taken the black sabbath name with him.

the album is pretty good to me.

not 15 years worth of production good, but i have listened to it..for free.

As far as the reunion, it sounds all fine and dandy, but I'd be willing to bet tickets would be $300 a person and $200 a person to sit in the nose bleeds
