nothing's wrong with tww's layout...but on euphalo, for example, the individual threads aren't identified by a differing row color...that's pretty key in following the information (title, poster, etc.)...it looks unorganized and it's difficult to follow

*shrug*...i only do this for a living, but everyone has their own personal tastes

because people bitch and moan about how slow tdub is, about the ads, and about the lack of HTML for all users, about statuses and edit notifications and a billion other little retarded things

my largest complaint about tdub are the ads...but firefox and adblock plus make it a non-issue

my second complaint is that nael hasn't fixed the galleries and such since it went down a few months back...but then, i don't rely on tdub galleries as my own personal photo collection, so it's not really a problem (i haven't added pictures in, quite literally, 3 years or more)

very few people realize how much overhead is associated with running a site like tdub...the ads are their attempt to recoup some of the cost of a service they're providing for FREE...the ownership and administration is pretty slack, but not so much that the site itself doesn't work

i have no problem with ads. i see none of them (adblock + firefox). the site is never slow to me, even when browsing on my cell phone. the picture thing doesn't bother me at all. i really don't care about html either.

sounds like a pretty dumb reason to make a whole other website. with as much of the shit that goes on here, if you have an ounce of intelligence you know what to ignore. tww is and has been a valuable resource to me b/c there is always at least one person who knows something about the question/problem i have. even my mom is grateful for tww.

fuck euphalo and the morons that flock there. tww for life, bitches.

first of all, this is nowhere near the finished product. evan just took a phpbb board and started hosting 2 days ago. since then hes been stripping down the excess while at the same time trying to handle being the only global admin who can get stuff done.

the new site will have a useful photogallery (thru flickr) and also have schooltool, rides, and books sections that work. the point is not to change looks, its to have a fully functional website. ever since nael, tww has been getting less functional other than what our own users (qntmfred) do.

yeah gunzz i know you dont wanna lose your awesome permamod status and i seriously doubt tww will ever be completely replaced. just like ill take a tww that works over this one, ill take php that works over aspx that doesnt.

and yeah i realize that nael didnt break half the shit, but i look at qntmfred's success with the minimal time he has free and realize that nael sure isnt trying hard if he is to fix things. i know you gotta kiss ass and all to stay on his good side, but qntmfred seems like a fucking god compared to what nael has been able to accomplish.

Euphalo is ugly

The logo and parts up at the top take up too much space and the fact that after you post you have to click another link (or wait) to get back to the thread after submitting your message is wasteful, why not just go back to the thread without any other go-between pages?
