Its just a bang for your buck thing.

Comptech is like a revolving door as far as being in business, and they arnt any cheaper.

they make a good kit, though.

If I wanted to drop the cash to force feed an S2000, though, I'd be inclined to go with the new Science Of Speed kit (or InlinePro if I wanted to go turbo, though I'd prefer SC on the S2k).

so just an update. i found a nice 99 red trans am. M6 with ram air and flowmaster exhaust for a decent price. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I'll get some pictures at some point.

you could have had a vette for that price if you had held out

probably, but I got it for 11k, and is pretty much exactly what I wanted. Plus it may be a little cheaper to insure than a vette, and it is probably putting down at least close to the power of the c5 vettes..

anyway, I'm happy with it.

Trans Am =/ sports car

But whatever, if you're happy with it thats all that matters. (C5 is better in every way, but whatever).

This is an interesting phenomenon... People "ask" for advice, then ignore what people tell them.

In other news, I am thinking about a C5 myself.

shit, if I had a dollar for every time I've seen someone ask for advice when he really had no interest in anything other than affirmation of what he'd already decided...

maybe, but it weighs a good 200-300lbs. more at a minimum. that's a decent difference all other things being equal.

this thread isn't that bad. dude at least said he wanted a trans am from the start, even though he may have technically had it labeled in the wrong category of vehicle.

anyway, sounds like a nice ride, especially if it's a ws6 (you mentioned ram air?). any plans for it?

its not a ws6, but it does have the factory ram air package. Plans will include for the short term, basic bolt ons, headers, exhaust, catback of some sort, and probably some wheels of some sort. I'm just enjoying the car as is right now..
