When I lived in an apartment complex in San Diego I would come home late almost every night and could never find a spot in the complex. I'd have to drive around for like a half hour waiting for someone to leave. There were like 6 cars that were unattended-flat tires and such-that took up the visitor spots. I told management one day, followed up a couple days later, no notices or anything. Cars had been there for weeks or months.

The next night, I had to park across the street in another complex. I was pissed when I walked in an typed up a note from "Deputy Sanchez" stating they were in violation of "Carlsbad Vehicle Code 1.xxx" and that they had 24 hours to move it from the complex or it would be impounded. Printed the note, put it on all six cars, and five were gone the next day. I took the note off the sixth a couple days later, called the cops and found out it was stolen.

Never really thought I could get in trouble for impersonating a cop, but I was like 20, haha.

my wife's parents had a water line in their yard dug up by the eastern NC town they lived in (Rocky Mount)

the town never did repair the sod and grass like they were supposed to. half a dozen calls and a month later, they had still never came out to fix the mess.

this was like around '98 or '99, and email hadn't really caught on yet in rural NC.

so her dad sent a somewhat cranky email message to the town complaining about it, nothing extraordinary in that, but he signed it

and the town maintenance crew was out there the very next day and got rid of all the dirt piles, and tamped in a bunch of new sod really nice.

Higgins, by the way, was the name of their dog. a little Jack Russell Terrier ... and their email was "webtv.net"

I had an ex boyfriend who got sooo pissed off at people that took up more than one spot. By far it was his biggest pet peeve, I don't think I saw him get angry at anything else the whole time I knew him. He had a roll of stickers kinda like those mickey ones that told them to fuck off that hed slap on a window if he couldn't park because of it. We lived in an apartment complex with way more cars than spots (6 people in 3 bedroom apartments) so it was always a huge issue to find anywhere to park.

I totally condone someone dinging up another persons car if they are double parked. Just becuase you have a nice car doesn't give you a reason to double park. There is absolutely no reason to double park. If you have a nice car park in the back or park far away and walk your ass.

Its the damn truth! Before we bought our current house we looked at about 100 different houses. Most of which were new construction. I dare say 75% or more had shit in the bathtub or shower. LITERAL SHIT. The realtors were always real apologetic, but always were like "yea, all this gets cleaned out"... One even told us that a dog or a homeless person must have taken up there one night...

Hell, here's the real kicker... When construction was going on in the building I work, it was decided to renovate the men's room. *(of course the construction crew was 99% mexican). The construction plan included replacing sewer lines and giving us new toilets. The mens' room has 4 stalls. During renovation and new pipe installation the plan was to disconnect 2 toilets at a time, leaving the other 2 operational.

Well, having a hole in the floor with a bright orange cap, and a new toilet off to the side with caution tape over it would certainly tell ME that it was out of order. Not to mention the sign on the door... In both english and spanish I might add...

After day 5 of August heat, no air conditioning, and us not being able to even walk down to that end of the building because of the STANK ASS burrito shit smell from a mexican chalupa sitting in the brand new shitter WITH THE CAUTION TAPE STILL ON IT, the building inspector finally responded to our calls and came and "addressed" the problem.

The mexicans by the way never stopped using that bathroom even at the height of its "glory".

Mexican food always throws me for a loop, but if I was to use that situation as a gauge, I'd say it can do permanent damage to the olfactory senses... Dear god, you could almost see the smell. I dare say you could feel it creep over ...

the problem here is that the residential construction market is such that prime and triple-prime contractors underbid jobs to the point that they're either just breaking even or losing money just to keep a toehold. and they don't pay the overhead for services like keeping portajohns maintained to their rated capacity, they dont put enough on a site to begin with.

they hire people to come in and do the work piecemeal so that they're trucked in by the vanload, they don't make enough to afford their own transportation and they don't have a place to fucking shit.

you act like mexicans are dogs. well even dogs don't shit where they eat. THEY SHIT WHERE YOU EAT, because you want to eat at the biggest buffet for the cheapest price possible.

Well either way it's not as clever as you all are making it out to be.

I typed and printed up the original sign because our downstairs toilet kept backing up after we threw parties and twice the guy came out with a snake and said it was tampons.

The reddish addendum was written in lipstick and if I remember correctly it was a certain DaphneGrey who wrote it.

Upon seeing it I jotted in the last part.

this happened a lot when i lived in a house w/ 3 other girls

would not recommend.

one instance my cat was sick and when cats are sick they sometimes don't use the litter box. anyway i was at class and apparently my cat pooed the floor. and my one roommate wrote a note that said "SHIT" with an arrow and left it by the shit. then another roommate wrote a note that said "if you took the time to write a note about it you could have at least cleaned it up" or something. and put it by the shit note. the shit and note were still there when i got back.

we had many, many a passive aggressive note war. we did other passive aggressive things too. like i'd wash all the dishes except for the ones belonging to a roommate that i didn't like (who later turned out to be a good friend). oops.
