Poor people now aren't as embarrassed to be poor

They think its ok since more and more people are poor now

An "Everybody's doing it !" mentality

Fuck poor people

You dug your own grave

Now lie in it

it wasn't just poor people, fwiw. people who made stable upper middle class incomes also purchased homes they couldn't afford. Lots of them did it, because they, unlike the poor people who just wanted a place to call their own, had the "investment" mentality. These people were led to believe they could buy a 500 - 750k house and sit in it for 5 years while the price went up 15-25%, netting them a nice amount of change. The depreciation in home values and the subsequent defaulting on loans for these homes has been equally as detrimental to system as "the poor(read: dumb, black, financially irresponsible or whatever a negatively biased and naive mind wants to think) people" who were affected by all this as well. a good example of this would be all the homes for sale around the cameron village area that have been on MLS since last feb and are going no where.

Still their own damn fault.

Why the hell would you let someone else tell you what you can afford?

i'm not saying its not their fault. i never said that. but i'm tired of people being so blatantly ignorant of the situation that they say things such as

Quote :
"I've got no sympathy for Shananiequinta* who chose to take out a mortgage on a quarter million dollar home on a McDs salary"

things like the above exhibit so many negative aspects of one's mentality about the situation at large that its both really disturbing and telling of their misconception of the situation.

I noticed a couple of months ago that stuff I was selling on eBay was going for notably less than it would have just a year ago. I haven't really sold anything lately, but I'd imagine it has gotten worse.

On another note, I filled up for $2.55 a gallon last weekend. Unfortunately that was after burning through almost a whole tank at somewhere around 9 MPG towing the boat earlier that day.

I heard yesterday because buick will stop sponsoring golf events that will really affect the golf tournaments, and if tiger woods wins a tournament he'd likely have a money prize of $250.00 to $275.00

i went to get my oil changed at my dealership on saturday, and they informed me that they are only open on one saturday a month now. i was kind of surprised by this, since saturday was by far their busiest day. you would think if they were tryin to cut down on hours and employment that they would close on a light day, like monday or tuesday. i guess that's why GM is in so much trouble right now.

i'm so over paying over $100 bucks for a single meal. before I'd do it occassionally, but now $40 is my absolute limit for a nice dinner and wine. with a girl I'll go to $120.
