Gambit = Very Excited about the movie for me. I hope they keep his wittiness and one-liners in the story. I am very interested in how he fits in the story, but excited about the possibilities.

looks good... i don't know a lot about his origin though..

what i gathered from the trailer is that his parents died, he joined the army, was part of a top secret experiment, they injected that substance into his body...he got claws as part of it..

then he went rogue trying to figure out who did it? or get revenge? became an xman

^He joined the army for like, the Revolutionary War. You can see that part at 0:10. He was in WWII from 0:11 till 0:18. He later became part of the Weapon X program, which is the secret experiment the trailer alludes to. He's always had claws, its just that when he was a little kid they were bone. You can see that for a split second from 1:28 to 1:29.

From the other trailer that was at the Comic-Con, it seems like Wolverine and Sabertooth were together in Vietnam, and then they went rogue and killed American soldiers? When they were captured, they were given the option to join the Weapon X program.

The process fucked with his head and he blocked it out and went into a frenzy, killing and destroying the facility. Then I believe you pick up with the first X-Men movie.

I'm excited about Deadpool because it creates hope that he might one day get his own movie. Oh yeah, and the movie-related Deadpool toy looks awesome. If it's Deadpool, I'm buying into it. I used to have a huge Deadpool poster on my wall when I lived in UT.

I do not like the scenes with wolverines team mate mutants.

they look unfinished and un-realistic in set, cast, and wardrobe execution.

well, i would hope he does too, but i wouldn't assume that he does just from the action figure, and i'd say there is a good chance of a deadpool spinoff somewhere down the line, there has been MUCH talk of one over the years, so if this movie does well, i would say it is likely

Ryan Reynolds fits perfectly.

You can't take Deadpool seriously. He has a psychotic/maniacal sense of humor and is an assassin to boot. Ryan Reynolds just has to act like a wisecracking ass (which isn't too difficult) and do a few badass action scenes (He did it in Blade 3)

yeah, hes been on the cast list for quite some time, but i don't know how/where he is gonna fit in, i think its just a liberty the writers took, and i think they are taking many (as they have done with all the x-men movies), also a young storm is in the movie

anyone that thinks ryan reynolds isn't a good fit for deadpool either doesn't know deadpool or hasn't seen any ryan reynolds roles

one thing i'm curious about: are they making wolverine american instead of canadian?? seems like they might be

and for those that have read the origin comics, it looks like they are going the route that sabertooth is dog, and it looks like dog is taking the place of Rose (although i had heard that she was going to be in the movie too somehow), as they seem to run away together much how james and rose did

b/c I was bored I grew out my beard over the past few weeks but I can't quite get it full enough on the cheeks to pull off the wolverine look, I can get some pretty good chops though, just not that full and thick
