Why not trade for another CB since they are all hurt or injured? The offense will be fine. 10/14/2008 4:55:21 PM |

How do you think they got that way, pure luck?
^SS Roy is still hurt, as is Terrence Newman and suspended Adam Jones. 3/4 Secondary starters hurt is NCSU like.

Some would argue Clemson had the most talent in NCAA this year, we see where they are at. Its about chemistry and team unity more than simply talent... Jones contributes every year in making sure that these two concepts arent apparent on his teams and are the reasons they collapse at the end of every season and havent won a playoff game since 199610/14/2008 5:20:01 PM |
packboozie All American 17452 Posts user info edit post |
^^That at the time was a good deal. Pacman was a proven NFL player....a 4th round pick is iffy at best.
^Collapse? They went 13-3 last year and lost a close game to the Super Bowl Champs who were hot like no other team ever. Hardly a collapse. 10/14/2008 5:23:22 PM |

Romo puts up great numbers, but he has some flaws in his game:
- He is careless with the football, particularly in the clutch. - Until proven otherwise, he's a choker. He's stuck with that label until he wins a playoff game. - Each of his first 2 seasons he has faded badly down the stretch. Just look at his QB rating in December. Without looking it up... it's bad. - Part of his production can be attributed to the "TO Effect". TO made McNabb look like an MVP, and made Garcia into a pro-bowler. You have to wonder if Romo could do what he does without the 2nd best receiver in the game.

NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND
due to 08 draft day trades the Cowboys have an extra 3, 4, and 6th rounder in 09
as part of the PacMan trade they keep a 6 that would have gone to Tenn had he not gotten suspended they get Tenn 5 since he got suspended
as part of Roy Williams2 trade they lose 1,3,6 get 7
so they still have 2,3,4,4,5,5,6,7,7
Cowboys could trade back into Round 1 or 2 if need be. The could also keep the lower cheaper picks to fortify bottom of roster or trade towards 2010 picks. I guarantee all 9 picks that they have won't make the team.

I don't understand you people's logic who say Jerry is dumb for doing this. In the scope the the trade, Dallas is really only loosing a 1st round pick. With the comp picks and picks from the Titans. And now, with a stable of solid receivers, I'm sure a number of teams would trade a higher pick for Miles Austin or Patrick Creighton.
9 picks in next years draft is still very solid.

and from what i saw, the oline had another lackluster performance, their defensive backfield is weak and inexperienced, and they straight gave up.
