I am thinking that we push to within the 20 several times and fail to seal the deal every time and score a total of 6 points, because even then our kicker misses some field goals.

^^ opening kickoff ran back for TD. opening play from scrimmage ran back for TD. 3rd down and 5 on the opponents 20 and we throw an interception that is ran back 88 yards for a TD. we fumble the ball on a pitch play and the ball bounces backward after a number of players from both teams try to scoop it up until in ends up in our own endzone where one of our linemen fall on it for a safety. we then promptly allow the other team to score a quick TD right before the end of the 1st half. in one single series we get a false start, a holding penalty, and an unsportsman like conduct penalty. we call for a fair catch on the 3 yard line. the opposing team kicks off to us and the ball hits our returnman in his visor leaving us scrambling to just jump on the ball. with the game out of reach one of our linemen gives a defensive lineman a forearm shot to the head resulting in a "he was giving him the business" penalty. 8/21/2008 12:49:56 PM |

or maybe it's a psychological ploy by TOB to make Spurrier think that Evans will be the starter so he prepares his defense accordingly when in reality Wilson will be the starter 8/21/2008 2:17:33 PM |

Steve Superior doesn't care about who NC State has at QB because he couldn't give two shits about defense. All he cares about is being the Old Ball Coach who throws down his visor and clipboard 200X a game. 8/21/2008 3:54:02 PM |

I do like stadium architecture. I think it's cool that we as a society can put 100,000+ people all in one place for the same reason. Plus images of Carter-Finley get me pumped for football season. 8/22/2008 10:01:18 AM |

Spurrier on the season opener, NC State, and TOB:
http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/a.z?s=178&p=2&c=782678
Quote : | "When asked about Tom O'Brien's history of fielding physical, hard nosed teams that play efficient football and don't beat themselves, Spurrier commented on the former Boston College coach's knack for fielding strong teams.
"His teams at Boston College were good. That team came close to winning the conference championship last year. Most guys that were on that team were guys that he had recruited and trained," he said. "He likes to run the ball. Boston College has won their last eight bowl games. He won six or seven of them. At NC State, they've turned the corner and they're a good looking team. His teams don't play with a bunch of mistakes. His players play with good discipline and within the rules. We're trying to get that established here." " |
