first let it be known that qntmfred has said that I, personally (and I'm assuming the other EUPHALO members) will be freed by Oct. 5th (apparently it is his birthday or something)

of course you may already know what EUPHALO is, but for a brief history

I, ReceiveDeath started a thread on March 25th, 2005 entitled "EVERY TWW USER POST HERE AT LEAST ONCE," in which I implored every user on TWW to do just that - post in the thread at least one time. The purpose? At first there was really no purpose except to get a thread with replies. In retrospect, a sort of "community" was built around the idea of "post padding." The original EUPHALO thread broke 1000 pages, and fell short of 1100, and was locked in an epic fashion by marko.

Fast forward to March 6, 2008 - the night of the unjustly deletion (not lock, actually) of the original EUPHALO thread, a second EUPHALO thread was born, again by myself, RD. It thrived for a little while, and new member teh_toch joined the team in addition to the original quinfecta (consisting of RD, JTMONEYNCSU, Money_Jones, amac884 and fjjackso). The quinfecta was soon turned into a EUPHALO Board of Directors, and now includes hypaone and evan as well as the aforementioned "quinfecta" plus teh_toch.

Moving forward once again to the evening of June 26, 2008. Mods and various users had been calling for the head of ReceiveDeath for his "spamming," repetitive, Miley-related posts, which were appearing in other threads, not just EUPHALO. On this evening, a thread was created by teh_toch with the title "epic suspensions of EUPHALO members after tonight." I, personally, don't know why he said that - perhaps he had some inside info. Anyway, amac884 was up to his usual antics, and was posting in every thread:

this of course incited a hilarity riot for myself, JTMONEYNCSU and teh_toch, and so we all followed suit and started posting it. and also "IBTL," which for some reason pissed off one of the moderators. By midnight, all the moderators had had enough (and decided that it was not acceptable), and qntmfred laid down the hammer - locking the second iteration of EVERY USER POST HERE AT LEAST ONCE, and suspending the top 4 members of EUPHALO, as well as rtc407 and Ashes.

And here we stand. almost 2 months later.

I will admit that I am addicted to TWW, and I am not ashamed of it

for one, it is a way to socially interact, whether people want to admit it or not

we're all people, even if we're just "faces hiding behind a screen", or words on a screen

we are still a community


how hard would it be to quit? for me, it would take a full-time job, a girlfriend, and activities in addition to the ones I already do. I think it would ultimately take a girl to get me off here, though. and/or new friends that have alot of time for me.

I have no plans to quit at this time
