Spelling smack - well played. I know you physically look like a 12 year old, no need to act like one. Tax increases and a more socialist system is simplistic and dangerous. Most teens grow out of the whole "help the poor". Also - giving hugs as a foregin policy - just a little too childish for me

Also - Gore lost in 2000. Only way the democrats can win is if you lower the voting age to 14.

Now please check my spelling.

Most people stop being republicans and come to a point where they realize being a democrat (or liberal) is a better policy.

few people come to college starting off as democrats and leave as republicans while the opposite, however, is quite common.

csharp_live please take your trolling elsewhere. What i stated is commonly accepted and well known. many are aware of the impact college has on one's political leanings and it generally sways them to the left. republicans even cite this as part of their liberal bias in america.

hahahaha is that why most kids and teenagers are democrats and most old people are republicans?

its more like, in college (or in my case, in high school) you get opened up to a lot of new ideas, how things are, how things should be, etc, and you realize the democrats have the best ideas

then you get into the real world and work and pay taxes for a few years and realize how things actually are and how impractical a lot of democrat policies are

I have actually grown more conservative since college. I was a pretty hardcore Democrat since I was old enough to vote, now I consider myself more of an Independent.

I'd be truly surprised if the majority of college professors weren't liberal

and I'm in the real world and work and pay taxes, but that hasn't made me "see" how the democrats policies are fantasy like Twista repeatedly implies. Actually it's quite the opposite. I've come to see how much money we waste in the WRONG places that would allow for those ideas and policies to become attainable. There's always a way Twista. Conservatives just want you to think otherwise.

If you still vote democrat after the age of 25 - you have no real world experience.

I don't believe in helping the poor through socialism. If you think programs like a regulated minimum wage and social assistance help the poor, please read something more then the onion, stop getting your political views from Family Guy and learn how the real world functions.

it's a mistake to think a republican that voted with the republican bush administration 90% of the time, an administration which support unprecedented levels of federal spending & governmental intrusions into our private lives (wire tapping is only 1 example),will be our protector against federal expansion & mismanaged spending.

I likely work harder than your entire family combined, and I make less money than a fucking janitor (and am going pretty far into debt)

I think the point is that wealth does not equal hard work, nor should it determine whether or not you receive benefits that everyone human being is entitled to

I'd like to see some of you spit this nazi garbage in some blue-collar town like pittsburgh or cleveland. tell all those guys who got laid-off from their 14 hour a day labor job that they don't deserve healthcare for their family because "you work hard and don't want to give up any of your money." If you worked so hard, you wouldn't be on TWW

spoken like a true asshole. I like how you can so easily write off people who you deem to be lazy and unworthy of help when they're down. it's not like a lot of these laborers MADE OUR COUNTRY WHAT IT IS TODAY OR ANYTHING.

also, a student loan isn't going to help you when you have a family to support RIGHT NOW

Right, like how the Republicans don't bail out huge corporations when they make bad decisions and get in financial trouble (see the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac "conservatorship" or the S&L crisis). It seems Repulicans only think individuals should have to face the consequences of their decisions not large corporations.

I think you have this backwards.

Republicans like their roads, but they don't want to have to pay taxes for them, they like their wars, but they don't want to worry about the sociological fallout from them, they like their freedoms, but they gladly let their own politicians take them away, it's like they want all these things for themselves and the country, but they don't want to have to pay for it. Things don't happen on their own, they require an agent of change and motivation, often which the gov. is behind.
